GAME #22: Gophers (15-6, 4-4) v. Northwestern (11-11, 4-5) [BTN, 2/1, 1:00PM)

We just got %##% in the !@# with that one. How do you not call that? This team is nothing without Dre Hollins. He needs to come back Wednesday or we're gonna lose. This really ruins my whole weekend.
 


Damn. NU completely controlled the pace and intensity. Really a black eye on the record to lose that one.
 

Mo had an easy layup and screwed it up on what would have otherwise been a great game by him. Could the refs had called a foul on either the Mathieu or Mo shot? Absolutely.
 





Brutal. Now we've got to steal one on the road to finish .500 in conference. Where does that come from? Purdue is the only realistic chance and we won't have Dre. This is a huge loss.
 




Our coach was pissed.

This team needs Andre Hollins. It will be tough until he gets back.

Me too. This was a disappointing loss, but it's not unexpected with Andre Hollins hurt. We're not deep enough to absorb his absence for a prolonged period of time.
 

That was an embarashment to the institution these boys attend and to the State that institution is located in, CANNOT LOSE TO NORTHWESTERN at home Dre or no Dre ****in bull****

He won't be the same when he gets back either. That little ****er Gasser took the Gophers' season with him and his ****ing Badgers when he injured Dre.
 





probably a loss the Gophers couldn't take. made it tough on themselves the rest of the way.

I still think any game is realistic. If you can take MSU to OT on the road, you can win on any given day.
 


Call a TO when you have 3 left. Should have known there would be no foul. Lil Dre got hammered every time in the lane, but they refused to call many fouls today.

That foul is called for any team in the B1G except for the Gophers. The defender smashed him with the body.
 

Pitino hasn't lost 3 in a row yet. We'll see if he can keep that up.
 



Remember when people laughed at the notion of interviewing Collins?

Not when your best player either won't be playing or will be a fraction of himself. He'll be healthy, hopefully, by NIT season. (sorry, but NIT is the destination after the last 2 games)
 

Jeesh, you people realize NW just won @Wisconsin. It isn't the end of the world now.
 

You are going to have a hard time convincing me NU isn't a better team after that meltdown. I don't think they will win another game without Dre. Recruiting has always, always been an issue at the U and games like this display that in ugly, bizarre fashion. No depth. This team is terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE without Dre. But that's fine, let's go grab another 3 star recruit
 

Without Dre, this team just can't score very well. Really disappointed in Austin.. he's had a bad Senior year so far. I think it's time to try playing both Mo and Elliot at the same time. If anything at all, Mo would be playing more than Elliot. Smith was off today... Little Dre needs to quit driving into trees. Boy... do we need Dre back.......
 

Body foul of Mathieu and Mo got hit on the hand. Big Ten officiating folks...
