Maybe they should want some integrity in their program.I don't think Michigan boosters and fans want a coach that runs a life program. They want one who runs a football program.
But nothing would shock me in today's college football world.
If PJ leaves it’s a shit show IMOHopefully we don't have to find out but that is a tricky one because there are not a lot of obvious future head coach candidates on the current staff. When Rossi was here he would have been an obvious candidate for interim head coach. On the current staff my assumption is it would probably have to be Harbaugh.
Define traditional blue blood for me. Thanks! No traditional blue blood program in the country will ever hire PJ. He’s not nearly good enough on Saturdays.

These are just a few examples of coaches in the modern era that were hired by blue blood programs who had a comparable or lesser resume than PJ at the time they were hired. I say this not to argue that PJ is some coaching genius, but to illustrate that the bar for being hired at these jobs is lower than you may think.
I have no idea if Michigan will consider PJ for the job, but between his ability to win games and to stay free of controversy, it’s not exactly far fetched to think he could be a candidate, especially considering how late in the hiring cycle we are.
I think you overestimate Michigan boosters and fans.Maybe they should want some integrity in their program.
What do they all have in common? They didn't hire Fleck.I think people are going to find that the list of realistically available coaches who are equally or more accomplished than PJ is a lot smaller than you think. Penn State just hired a guy with a fairly comparable resume to PJ. Florida just hired a guy who has never coached at the P5 level. Notre Dame hired a guy with no head coaching experience a couple years ago.
I have no idea if Michigan has any interest in PJ, but if they see PJ as someone who's way beneath this job, there's a good chance they will be disappointed with whoever the hire is.
If the hiring committee got together and watched the games this year against Purdue, Northwestern, Michigan State, Iowa, Ohio State, and Oregon they would run in the other direction. That said, in another thread folks talked about how good Lindsey was at the end of some of those games and true that with a lot of other quarterbacks this season would’ve turned out a lot worse than it did.Brady Hoke

Not sure what your point is.What do they all have in common? They didn't hire Fleck.
