All Things 2026 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

When I made the comment about starting to track Lee's Career WAR by hitting the -0.3 threshold, I honestly thought it would take at minimum "months". That was on 4/25/26.

He did it within "weeks". Less than 3 to be exact.
Amazing😃.

Are you officially officiating as of now?

Pretty cool that Brooks has responded so dramatically with Culpepper nipping at his heels; will serve him well, wherever else his baseball journey takes him besides MN.

Game on.

My bad, I caught the wrong Santana graphic flipping back to the Wolves game. Misread it as "First since 2007 / Santana" not 2017. Thus I attributed the feat to the incorrect Santana.

Thanks for the update. I Edited my post.

I was puzzled how Johan, usually with strong K stats could keep it under 100 pitches, though Ober did get 7 tonight.

I still maintain that Carlos Silva throwing a complete game with 74 pitches might be one of the least likely occurrences we see in any sport for the rest of time.

Strikeouts are boring. Besides that, they fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.

Also referred to as a Maddux.
Huge bonus to give this Bullpen a night off.

Also sidenote, not the Maddux being referenced, but brother Mike is a sneaky useful Immaculate Grid player.

9 different franchises: Phillies, Dodgers (x2), Padres, Mets, Pirates, Red Sox, Mariners, Expos (Nationals) & Astros.

Sub 3.00 Season ERA with Philadelphia & San Diego.

Thinking it was Johan instead of Irv is beyond, makes the most sense ever😃

The Jeffers Dilemma is going to be interesting -

There are very few decent catchers, especially in the AL - from what a I’m hearing.

He’s elevated his game offensively, great with the ABS, still can’t throw anyone out. Caranti shouldn’t catch more than he already does and we really have a capable replacement in Triple A.

My biggest concern is I don’t want to impeded the progression of our young guns and pitchers, from what I’ve gathered, like throwing to him. He’s also a Scott Boras client.

Do what do you all think?

Think he has to hold the fort down for a couple more years until Tait is ready. Not sure how that looks or happens though.

Always a huge red flag when you see Boras's name mentioned.

I wish as I like his game overall, he’s a good dude and likes being a Twin.

Thus bums me out. As I just discovered it today and he’s in line for a sizable contract and good for him, he’s earned it and improved.

Not much of a dilemma. They pretty much have to trade him in July. Giving him 4/$100 million or whatever it would take doesn't make sense if they think Tait stays as a catcher.
