It’s almost impossible to defend this.
What a crappy weekend of NFL football.
If Fields isn't offered the $40million/yr by anyone then he'll have to take less or just sit. He hasn't won a playoff game yet like Daniel Jones (fools gold in hindsight) nor even made the post season, so I don't see how he could command that level of salary. For now, let's just stick with the Bears. The Giants just paid Daniel Jones that much. Why would Fields take less? The market has been set with players like that. You're either committing to Fields and paying him $40M+ per year, or you're trading him or letting him walk.
I guess it depends on your definition of "winning". Can a player like Fields, with a GREAT roster around him, win 8-10 games? He probably can. Is he going to win multiple playoff games? Not a snowball's chance in hell.
He's not an NFL franchise QB. Never will be. They'd be better of seeing what they have in Bagent than to keep trotting out Fields.
While I normally revel in the Cowboys getting blown out, because it was at the hands of the Packers, it was a rather pyrrhic victory.Nonsense! Love seeing the NFC Least go down like that!
Love seeing both Mayfield and Todd Bowles have a great night, stomping the Eagles. That was fantastic.
No Johnny, it’s that, their youth and the amount of draft capital - I was responding to SON’s post about how much of it, they have. Johnny, twenty dollar bills are not for rolling up and hovering up white powder off of a mirrorYou're changing your future plans based on the Packers winning a play-off game? I agree on moving on from Cousins, but there's no need to trade JJ. Just because it worked with Diggs, doesn't mean it will again.
Plus the NYE debacle at the Zygi Dome also showed the talent gap.No Johnny, it’s that, their youth and the amount of draft capital - I was responding to SON’s post about how much of it, they have. Johnny, twenty dollar bills are not for rolling up and hovering up white powdery off of a mirror
Blow it up and start over and the only two I’d have on my no trade pile is Darrisaw and Addison
Heard on the WWL that Jon Gruden unis bring seriously considered to be the OC for Da Saints - they apparently fired their OC this morning.
Philly allowed 157 yards YAC last night - tied NFL postseason record. While I normally revel in the Cowboys getting blown out, because it was at the hands of the Packers, it was a rather pyrrhic victory.
Tonight was a snooze fest.
As someone who’s had second chances, I certainly believe that he should get one. N.O. Might be the right spot for it not for it to occur as well.Gruden is a great play-caller, that would be quite a get for the Saints, although I don't know that his time with D. Carr was all that spectacular. Gruden was routinely frustrated with Carr's refusal to push the ball down the field and constantly check-down.
Hoping that Gruden gets a gig he wants at some point. He pretty much got hosed on that Redskins investigation situation, regardless of what he may have put in personal communication with that moron in the Washington front office.
With Tomlin apparently staying for another year, this is where I would put the Top 4 candidates:Philly allowed 157 yards YAC last night - tied NFL postseason record.
Gotta think that Philly, knowing a little about that city and with a ton of coaching talent available, that they move on from Sirianni, especially as they’ve shown they could move on from Reid and Pederson.
Belicheck or Carroll?
I'd be surprised if Belichick would go to a team like ATL with no established QB. He's "been there, done that" lately. That's why I'd make the LAC as favorites to land him if they're interested. With Tomlin apparently staying for another year, this is where I would put the Top 4 candidates:
LA Chargers - Pete Carroll / Back to LA.
Dallas - Jim Harbaugh / Just needs to get Dak to play well in January.
Atlanta - Bill Belichick / NFC South still gettable.
Philadelphia - Mike Vrabel / Upgrade and right temprament.
I agree with you on B squared RE: ATL - from what I’ve heard, SD is interested in him. Philly and Dallas have the most plug and play teams for him, Jerry could do all his talking and their drafts have been productive.I'd be surprised if Belichick would go to a team like ATL with no established QB. He's "been there, done that" lately. That's why I'd make the LAC as favorites to land him if they're interested.
I have a hard time picturing the Hoodie on the West Coast.I'd be surprised if Belichick would go to a team like ATL with no established QB. He's "been there, done that" lately. That's why I'd make the LAC as favorites to land him if they're interested.
That not what he is talking about on his istragram account. If you go to his account he said this.It seems the WRs really want Cousins back.
If I'm betting Ogee's money, I've got:
LAC - Belichick
SEA - Vrabel
WAS - Carroll
DAL - Harbaugh
PHI - Keeps Siriani
The same Eagles franchise fired their head coach 3 years after WINNING a Super Bowl, not just being in it.I don't have a strong opinion on Sirianni but coaches don't often get fired the year after they make the Super Bowl. John Fox did I guess. That worked out.
I’m not on instagram so my bad. That not what he is talking about on his istragram account. If you go to his account he said this.
Used to dream bout this I can’t believe I’m here. He was talking about himself getting into the NFL. He wasn't talk about Cousins at all.
I’m not on instagram so my bad.
Correct. They do.It seems the WRs really want Cousins back.
Some talking head brought up a good point yesterday. Jerry is so thrifty, he let Garrett coach his lame duck year, rather than pay the buyout. The same Eagles franchise fired their head coach 3 years after WINNING a Super Bowl, not just being in it.
