All Things 2024-25 Vikings Regular Season Thread

There's no chance of winning tonight. And Nick Muellens isn't beating the Rams.
hope for Darnold to suck and end the playoff run first game then. No way that the Vikings should mortgage their future on a huge contract to Darnold.

I’m not a big Darnold guy but those saying “I’m glad we won’t be giving Darnold a big contract” are going to be disappointed when they see JJ’s limitations.
I'm fine playing with a QB with limitations. I'm not fine paying said QB $45-50 million.

Addison and Hock one catch a piece. JJ with 3 catches. Against a ravished defense. How is that even possible.

I don't think they were ever going to do that unless we made the Super Bowl. There was a chance they might franchise him for a year and see what happens. But that's a lot less likely than it was 4 hours ago. And if they lose in the first round, it probably won't happen.

Darnold has been crap, but it's amazing how they show downfield shots and there is zero separation from the receivers.

It's stunning to see.

our supposed stud QB showed his true colors today? his year prior was the aberration. He has been a vastly overrated turnover machine since his days at USC.

Campbell is making a statement and the Queens cave in and are ready to call it quits. Very disappointed with the coaches and the offense.

If the O-line and Darnold don't significantly improve next week, the Vikings are 1 and done.

I'd bet on a Vikings loss next week.

It’s always the refs.

It’s wasn’t the refs it was Darnold see 18 people of defense.
Kevin is right. The Lions are the dirtiest team in the NFL by far. They are the second coming of the 2009 Saints. I hate them and their dirty coach. The Eagles should slaughter them later on. As long as they don’t take out Saquan’s knees, anyway.

I believe this will be the first game in KOC's tenure where he has won the turnover battle but lost.
At least we won't have to play the first place schedule next season I guess.

I don’t feel like the OL played that poorly. Detroit is blitzing. Either Darnold isn’t seeing guys or receivers aren’t winning 1 on 1s.

Gibbs is a madman.

Just crazy how badly our offense wilted at constant barrage of blitzing. And as noted, on the backend they're holding every guy, every play. It's the Iowa (Hawkeyes) strategy that they do every year: tackle the route runners until the refs call it, then keep doing it anyway.

I have a sad, sinking feeling that it's going to be 14 wins, and Detroit-LA, Detroit-LA. Rams looking like geniuses for losing on purpose. We'll see of course, can't play em on paper.

Just disappointed.

If it does go 14-4, just can't help but feel like everything that Darnold did for us will go right out the window and maybe it should. I have no crystal ball. Hope like hell that McCarthy is the next Joe Burrow and not the next Christian Ponder.

Hopefully we get another shot at the Lions this season.
But next season's schedule.
Vikes - Seattle, Atlanta, LA Chargers
Lions - La Rams, TB, KC
Pack - Arizona, Carolina, Denver
Other than these, we play the same teams.
