All Things 2024-25 Vikings Regular Season Thread

the guy who saw the actual ball in Allen's hand ruled it an easy first down.

The guy who saw Allens back and had no clue where the ball was ruled it short.

Please explain how they went with the guy who didn't see the ball.

Total bullshit!

And just for the record, on the play in front of that, the Bills also got the first down.
Looks awkward, but typically one official comes in stronger and takes the spot. The bottom guy felt he had the spot.

It looks awkward, because the ref with the spot never saw the ball. I guess we just guess.

Oh well

Screw the camera angles!

How did the ref who saw the ball, spot it as an easy first down have his call overturned.

It's all I'm asking.

Please do share.
I'm sure you have a link to a quote that the side judge at the top of the screen had a definitive view of the football and was "overruled" by the official at the bottom.

The official you keep referring to had two (2) WRs, a TE and three (3) OL on the line of scrimmage between himself and Allen. The other official was closer to the ball, closer to Allen and three (3) players in his line of sight rather than six (6).

Was the spot ultimately correct? Don't know...neither do you. Get me that quote from the official and then we can continue.

Please do share...the fate of the world hinges on your evidence.

Just want an explanation. The only one who could have seen the ball was the judge on the far. The one looking at allens back spotted the ball.

All the announcers thought he got it. It looked like he got it. One official said he got it.

The guy who couldn't see schit made the ruling.

Awesome!

Soooo...... How about this upcoming Vikings offseason?!?! It's going to be a wild one!

Kincaid got the 1st down or was an inch shy on the previous play. Either getting the 1st moving the ball 2 feet closer to the line on the controversial 4th down, would've made a huge difference in the game.

Bad calls at the end of the game matter more than at the beginning because you have less time and possessions to compensate.

So, don't bring any of that bs about blown calls happen throughout the game. When the blown call happens absolutely matters.

The 3rd down play is the one everyone overlooking. I thought it was clear that he had the first and it should have never came down to the 4th down QB sneak.

I didn’t have a problem with the 4th down play being marked short. There was nothing in the replay that showed the ball clearly crossing the line.

Did Buffalo have a challenge left? If so, that's on the Bills coaching staff.

It's on the officials for failing.
If the spot (on 3rd Down) was not egregious enough for the Bills to challenge it at that critical time/situation in the game, then their coaching staff has to take some of the responsibility.

If I recall, they did review it.
