I can’t blame him for playing by the rules. Imagine how amazing SGA would be if he wasn’t encouraged to initiate contact; instead having to find space and move around with that freakish quickness and agility.

The NBA tells us its to protect owner’s investments. Then these guys are out just as much. Basketball is a rough game, there is a reason they are compensated so handsomely. Let em play Silver.
Scoring is off the charts. They claim that’s for fans. However, the last time the league was like this (1960s and into 70s) they changed the rules. Only then, did the NBA become super lucrative. It was popularized when the game was tough. More truly amazing plays and - bitter rivalries.
Strict rule enforcement for everyone, on the screens, dribbbling, etc, encourages the best, most athletic plays, tough defense, and the insane passes.
