All Things 2024-25 College Basketball Other Games Thread

Once again, why are we comparing ourselves to somebody that’s not doing very good can we once set the bar a little bit higher and actually try to be better
He was very successful at Iowa State, when you basically are comparing records with the purpose of finding a coaching replacement I don't see how it isn't relevant.

Penn State playing in their old arena. Select games played there with a full arena.
I'm for fuller arenas, but they need to make sure the technology is up to date and functioning - there was about a 10-minute delay because the shot clocks were not synced on both ends of the floor. That might have had nothing to do with the age of the building or how few games are played there, but it was annoying as hell and is wholly unacceptable.
Yeah, not much to watch with those two team. Pretty boring game. No flow at all
I think that had more to do with the refs deciding to call everything, and some phantoms, too. As a "neutral", It's unwatchable.

Friday eve’s this time of year serve up some off the radar Ivy, MAAC and Patriot League-type hoops for those who just cant get enough college action. Columbia-Harvard starting shortly on ESPNU

JT Toppins ejection was the worst call in sports history

Look it up.

Jobs have to be on the line.

Ha ha, Tubby sure looked happy to see Arkansas take down Kentucky. I've never thought of tubby as a petty guy but that sure looked like a schadenfreude filled smile and hug with Calipari after the game.

Texas Tech upset #6 Houston in OT, 82-81. Elijah Hawkins played 42 minutes, had 17 points, 6 rebounds, and shot 4 for 7 on threes, and 5 for 5 on free throws.

#13 Texas A&M beat South Carolina (who is winless in the SEC), 76-72. Pharrel Payne played 30 minutes, had 8 points, 3 rebounds, no free throw attempts, and 1 block.

Huge win for Richard's New Mexico squad last night, 82-63 @ Utah State in a game for the Mountain West lead. 52-27 blitzkrieg in the 2nd half. Resume really needed that Quad 1 win.

Barring a couple really bad losses, looks like the Lobos are headed back to the NCAA tourney. Still have key road games @ Boise State & San Diego State, as well as the return home game vs. Utah State. Win 2 of those 3 and/or get at least a share of the regular season title, and I think they'll be in pretty good shape for a bid.

His team this season really looks quite good. Seem balanced, connected.

Jr Joseph has developed well, Dent is good and Washington is a player. They are fun to watch.
