All Things 2023 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

the Twins have been a frustrating team to watch. no question.

But - I went back and checked a bunch of pre-season predictions from various sites. Several of the betting sites had the Twins winning 82 or 83 games.

Twins Daily averaged out all the predictions from its writers and contributors and came up with 87 wins.

as of today, Twins have a .508 winning percentage which equals 82.3 wins for a 162-game season.

in other words, the Twins are performing almost exactly how they were predicted to perform.

believe me, I have watched Twins teams that were a lot worse than the 2023 edition.

2016 - Twins went 59-103 - a .364 winning percentage.

to match that record, this year's team would have to go 28-73 the rest of the season - a .278 winning percentage.

in short - this is Minnesota. "Things Could Be Worse."
