Thank you Mr. Wallner.Someone get a bleeping hit.
Good thing we added arms in the bullpen at the deadline so when someone is struggling, we can plug in someone else into the main set up rolls. That went ugly fast. Noting unlucky about Jax today.
Swap him for Cole Sands or Keuchel or DFA Gallo. Clearing a 40 man spot is not hard.Kody Funderburk could be the left handed bullpen savior for the twins. Of course he’s no on the 40 man so someone on this overalls talented team would have to go. Have no idea if his numbers translate, but he’s striking out 1.5 an inning. Clearly the twins need some other lefty in the pen of Thielbar can’t pitch after pitching in 3 of 4.
Wallner was 2 feet from walking them off.Down 8-4 going into the bottom of the ninth. Two run HR by Polanco followed up by a HR by Kepler.....and the Twins are only down one with zero outs.
Thank you Mr. Wendal should be his walk upWallner was 2 feet from walking them off.
Just shut buxton down and have him see every dr in the world to figure out what's wrong with his kneeApparently Rocco has said they do not expect Buxton back before September. Buxton is reportedly doing some hitting and running, but is not ready for a rehab assignment yet. Sounds like a similar timeline for Kirilloff. Brock Stewart is back to a throwing program and will pitch some bullpen sessions in a week or so.
and in a remarkable coincidence, MLB rosters expand to 28 players in September.
Following The Mauer Migration
I must ask why Buxton must rehab throwing and taking ground balls. Last time I checked not many grounders or throws required when the your the bleeping DH. How about he works on his hitting so he’s not hitting .190 with no power.
I’m not convinced the people in charge are all that smart.

He clearly isn't producing and not helping the team. I agree, shut him down, get healthy so that he will be much more productive next year. A band-aide approach isn't going to work.Just shut buxton down and have him see every dr in the world to figure out what's wrong with his knee
Reusse says they are considering trying to get him in the OF when he returns and only have him start 3-4 games/week since the DH thing is not working and they need a spot for Lewis/Polanco/Julien.the current problem for Buxton is the hamstring. No idea if the rest will help his knee or not. The Twins - and you can understand why - have not provided a lot of details about the exact nature of Buxton's knee. If it is tendinitis, there are some surgical remedies, but recovery can take from 8 months to a year. But there is also a condition called tendinosis - which is where the tendon is degenerative. that one is worse.
so depending on the nature of the problem, just shutting him down may not provide any long-term benefit. it sucks for Buxton and it sucks for the Twins. I just hope they got an insurance policy when they signed him to the contract.
