Joey Gallo is stating tonight and playing first base. He has exactly 4 hits in his last 50 plate appearances.
The fact the twins have no other options, or so the front office says, to play first base is a massive black mark on the front office.

This pitcher walked the first two batters x that didn’t stop Correa or Kepler from swinging at the first pitch of their at bats. Lucky for Correa he hit is so bad they could not turn two. That allowed them to score 1 run on 3 walks and no hits.
 

Brutal loss for Cleveland. Let's take advantage.

He was repping the Philly as he played there from 76-79 and said that those were the best teams he played on (77 & 78) as both won 100 and lost to the Dodgers to go to WS.

Those teams were stacked with Schmidt, the Bull, Boone, Bowa, Carlton and McGraw
 





Gallo got his 1 a month hit. OK, can move on for the rest of August. He can get his Septrmber hit when it is time. Then the October hit to beat the Yankees....... Or not..
 









this would be a nice solid win to break the slump!
 

Twins up 5-0 in the 7th.

1st Twins run the result of two walks and two groundouts. Then 3 solo home runs from Wallner, Gallo and Correa.

A Wallner single drives in Kepler who had doubled for the 5th run.

And now Gallo hits a 3 run homer and it's 8-0 Twins and it's still in the 7th.

Great win against a playoff team; Pablo did what aces do, stop a losing streak and he gives a shot against any lineup.

Walker was 13-4 with a sub 4 ERA, before tonight’s tilt.

Let’s win the series tomorrow and use this as a springboard for rounding into playoff shape in the next six weeks!!
 



I don't know if you could even place a bet on this ---

But what could someone win in Vegas if they placed a bet that Joey Gallo would get 4 hits in a game? (I believe a first in his MLB career).
 


Well, today's lineup is something. Solano back and leading off. Jeffers and Vazquez hitting 4th and 5th, with Vazquez playing 1B. Julien dropped all the way to 9th and Gallo's reward for finally hitting is a spot on the bench.
