All Things 2022 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Exactly why pretty much no one watches or cares about baseball anymore.
I guess if you mean in the macro, analytics dominating all decisions (abundances shifts, relievers, walks-Ks-HRs dominance, leading to average game time 3.5+ hrs) I suppose that's correct.

In the micro, the Dodgers taking Kershaw out on a sub 40 degree day, shortened Spring Training while overcoming arm issues last year, well...I really can not fault them for that call. Seems prudent.

Bundy with seven shutout innings to start his Twins career

All hail Falvey. Howie must destroy his Falvey voodoo doll ASAP

Bundy now 2-0 with a 0.87 Era and in both starts has thrown strikes on 70% of his pitches - that is a recipe for success 🥳🎊🎉👍😃

He is not on the IL and is supposed to be with the team in KC. Could see him DH a game or two before returning to CF.
Feels like the majority of his ailments recently, thumb, hip and whatever knee issue he has currently have all been on offense, rather than playing him in CF.

Yep. But DH'ing him for a few games would allow him to ease into it a little. Not as much running around if he's just hitting.

I have no idea what they'll do, it was just a thought.

Yes, I don't disagree with the maneuver.

Not sure if irony is the right word, just odd that he keeps getting hurt at the plate and running the bases which is preventing him from what is his most irreplaceable asset, roaming Center Field to keep the opposition from scoring.

Great stats. We never hear a word about Kepler. He sucks.
I see plenty of complaints about Kepler. He's been terrible at the plate since 2019. But he's a better defender, makes somewhat less $$ and doesn't run quite as hot and cold as Sano at the plate.

Bats looking better tonight, stringing together hits.

Larnach is having good ABs almost every appearance - so glad he wasn’t traded.

Kepler is trash. I'd be happy if someone else could take his job.

10 games out by the first week of may.

Not with the type of starting pitching we’ve seen thus far; the hitting will only get better as well.

I know your default is to be negative, but dude try looking at the glass as being half full ☀️🌞
