Between Mason "The Assassin" and Josh "Hulk" Martin, are we going to need to change our mascot to the Golden Avengers?
 

"The Squirrel Assassin" sounds like it would be a kick-ass reality show.

PF- Hulk

Bench- Squirrel, etc...

That would not only be a national contender, but also we would have the best (nick)named team in the NCAA.

But but....I remember someone on GH referring to Dre as the Smiling Assassin. Wouldn't two assassins at the same time be confusing?
 





Kid is legit. Who is responsible for our west coast recruiting because it is big time underrated.

 

The only guy who predicted Chris Sandifer to Minnesota is right 45% of the time...9 out of 20...and we haven't even given him a scholarship yet. I wouldn't take this too seriously.

Just because a scholarship hasn't been reported yet doesn't mean it hasn't been offered.
 



Couldn't tell too much. Lefty with a very good right hand. Looks shorter than 6-6, but has a B1G body. Coach P. and the guys never stop!
 

His lefty jumper reminds me of Charles Thomas.

This guy appears to be a good consolation prize for Vaughn.

Maybe not....but you never know. I don't think he has said too much about whom he is considering. There is at least one mention (he retweeted) of the Gophers on his twitter account. (not ordering my Sandifer jersey just yet)

FYI...the tweet from grassrootshoops (referenced below).....director just happens to be Brian Sandifer, so this might confirm at least some interest from the Gophers.

Why is it that these visits never seem "finalized" until the kid actually sets foot on campus? Is the holdup simply logistics, or that he's considering not coming, or that we're considering trying to push him back?

Yes, I also heard this from a friend who is good friends with a season ticket holder who knows the scoreboard operator who knows Pitino. Sounds like a sure thing.
 

This place would implode if Tyus did the right thing and stayed home. A guy can dream..

Yarbrough doesn’t have a set of finalists, but his current short list includes, Auburn, Bradley, DePaul, Iowa, Minnesota, Loyola (IL), Tulsa, and Wisconsin. The Badgers have not offered, but have recently become interested in the 6-foot-6, 190-pound wing.

After reading quotes recapping his UVA visit, I think that's where he'll go. I'd strongly speculate that he's considering not coming. Maybe he's comfortable with UVA and thinks it's wasting both sides if he doesn't think he'll be swayed. My 2 cents.

Good to know. I would expect an offer soon - they're probably just evaluating everything about him since he committed to Mizzou in June and was therefore off the market.

Edit: The question is... Who would we rather have, Morris or Sandifer?

Sandifer without a doubt since he is a legit 4-star kid and would be here for 4 years. Morris would still be a solid get since he was a top 150 kid out of high school, but we would only get 2 years out of him.

Perhaps the Morris commitment is imminent? Otherwise, why would you not be interested in a top 100 type recruit at a position of need? I tend to believe Sandifer's uncle who tweeted the Gophers were taking a look at him.

You mean we definitely are. :)

Also, is Dougie self-conscious or insecure about his weight? His twitter pic has about three less chins than he does on television. There's nothing wrong with being overweight (morally, but health and financially is another story). So why not show us who you really are? You're on TV Dougie! We see you all the time.
