2024-25 Gopher Hockey Season

I've been up at the Ralph numerous times and for playoff games (back in the WCHA days) against them. Don't get me wrong, it would be loud, but It's lost a substantial amount of the rowdiness. Maybe they'd bring in some dead Gophers again like they used to, but it seems those days are past.

Personally I'd love it if they did get rowdy as I think it would only play to our advantage as they're an extremely undisciplined team that takes the 3rd most penalty minutes/game
They really brought in real dead gophers?!?

They really brought in real dead gophers?!?
sure did. think the NYT or someone had an article on it as well.

some people (I would presume these are the stuffed ones, but they're und fans so who knows) would also put them on nooses and hold them like they were hanging them.

Heres the article

from the same weekend blood pushed rau in the handshake line like the loser he is

Ya the level of crazy has come down because of the wussification of society + not being in the same conference + the younger generations coming up aren't interested in sports as much overall.

But they are still the craziest fanbase cuz they have nothing else to do or be proud of. So it's all relative.

Since 1/18, Souliere has started or played in (one relief effort) in all nine games. His save percentage is 0.895 in that time.

Not good.

Would it be good to get the one seed in the B1G tournament or not?
It's good to keep winning. It's not great to have a week off and potentially lose a one-off semi and end up with one game in three weekends before the tournament.

take out the MSU game the team entirely gave up on and looked like shit from front to back and just do the games he started and it's .921 with 1 PPG given up. He's also 4-2-2 with the only 2 losses coming in overtime.

I don't think he's a great goalie and yeah I'd rather have Fowler or Augustine, but he is more than good enough to win the title behind this team and he has stolen a game against a team who may end up in the field (PSU) so he does have the ability to rise to the occasion

I thought about excluding that game but my napkin math didn't think it would have that much of an impact. If it's .921 in the last 8 he started, ya that's good enough.

that .73 night-->no bueno

He's been really good in the 2nd half so far in games he's started

6-2-2 with only losses in OT, .927 Sv%, shade less than 2.2GA/g
