Troy Riddle is in desperate need of an intervention.
Wow - I was not aware of his struggles. So sad to see from such a great former gopher. Really hope he gets the help he needs.Troy Riddle is in desperate need of an intervention.
Huglen I'll cut some slack with his family welcoming a child.Someone please file a missing persons report for Lamb and Rinzel.
0-1-1 in Lamb's last 11 games
0-1-1 in Rinzel's last 8 games
Also for Huglen. 0-2-2 in his last 11.
I think Big Bird has had his mind on the NHL after Chicago came out and said to he and Moore that they are welcome to join at the end of the season.Rinzel I keep waiting for that full step into Lacombe status and its just not happening. He's just looked less dangerous with the puck as the year has gone on.
i can't agree on Moore. He has been a consistent effort guy all his years here. For whatever reason the finish has never clicked for him. TBH I don't know why Chicago would be excited to bring him in as he needs work to be an every night NHLer right nowI think Big Bird has had his mind on the NHL after Chicago came out and said to he and Moore that they are welcome to join at the end of the season.
I'd say the same for Moore but he has been half checked out his entire time here.
Yeah I agree, Moore has his limitations offensively for sure (though he's not that far below PPG in his career), but I definitely wouldn't accuse him of being checked out. He plays hard, he just lacks finishing ability and his hockey IQ is average at best.i can't agree on Moore. He has been a consistent effort guy all his years here. Kind of interested in what chicago does with the forward group. Have Moore, Aidan Thompson (DU), Ryan Greene (BU), and Sacha Boisvert (UND) in the pipeline as well as Lardis in the OHL with Greene (21) and Thompson (23) both being older guys.
Given he came in, I imagine whipple and his family knew exactly what they were getting. That said I too would rather dress whipple but maybe they want another center in the lineupI don't get not having Whipple as the 7th D and rolling 13 forwards instead.
Also longer term a drafted guy from a well to do family like that may seek greener pastures this summer if he doesn't get back in, and then you're in trouble because the D pipeline is already a mess and losing Koster/Rinzel/Chesley/Whipple and replacing with Rud/Phillips/Rombach/Grimes...
I'm sure you hate it when the Gophers win and it takes you a bit longer to find something to bitch about. What a boring game but a couple fun goals from Chesley and Lamb
Both teams chose to play a neutral zone heavy, defense first game. Boring to watch but a style you need to be able to win. Some very nice goals and very good team defense. Very solid gopher winI'm sure you hate it when the Gophers win and it takes you a bit longer to find something to bitch about.

I don't even disagree with your original comment, but surely you understand why things are received a little differently coming from you.You all have to be exhausted too to attack any "negative" comment. Anyone that has watched 1000s of hockey games in their life could see it was a slow moving boring game, especially the night after the USA game.
A well timed post. Rinzel didn't make the box score last night but I thought all 3 of these guys played a good game.Someone please file a missing persons report for Lamb and Rinzel.

Yup good for the other two but Rinzel still hasn't been the same. Him leaving would be foolish as he'll need at least a full AHL year.A well timed post. Rinzel didn't make the box score last night but I thought all 3 of these guys played a good game.
agreed on lamber and Huglen. Rinzel was very up and down again. He makes some plays that really make your jaw drop and then looks completely lost at others. He will benefit from playing wherever he gets a full year playing top minutes and PP time. I would doubt he sticks around here to do that but who knows what Chicago is doing right now with how they've handled Levshunov.A well timed post. What color is the sky in your world? You all have to be exhausted too to attack any "negative" comment. Anyone that has watched 1000s of hockey games in their life could see it was a slow moving boring game, especially the night after the USA game.
You mean 1 seed in the ncaa tournament? I think we need 5 points to clinch the big ten.Leading the big ten heading into the final week and a red hot PSU team. 1 seed all but locked and a split will make it certain
correct, on the NCAA.You mean 1 seed in the ncaa tournament? I think we need 5 points to clinch the big ten.
We’ll get a better feel for it after this weekend but my gut tells me PSU is the scariest on that list with how they are playing in the second half. The odds of getting up to the 2 overall are much higher now. I think if they win out they could get it. But many things yet to happen.
Outside of that, how would you rank these potential opponents in how much they worry you? Here's my order.
UND in Fargo
Mankato
Qpac because of the bad memories
And then these don't scare me as much
UMass, PSU, UMass Lowell, ASU
UND is the only truly worrying one though and it's only because it would mean they're on a crazy win streak and playing in front of a home crowd.
yep. hot streak and a goalie who can be lights outWe’ll get a better feel for it after this weekend but my gut tells me PSU is the scariest on that list with how they are playing in the second half.

You're nuts if you don't think they would be just an insane as always in a home regional game after turning their season around.UND: yeah it'd be in Fargo but I think even if they sneak in after winning the NCHC, their fan base is not super happy with the year and won't have a ton of faith so don't know if it'd be quite the hostility (also if we get the 2, they wouldn't send us to Fargo for bracket integrity as we'd draw the CCHA autobid team since UND would rise in the rankings higher in all likelihood)
I've been up at the Ralph numerous times and for playoff games (back in the WCHA days) against them. Don't get me wrong, it would be loud, but It's lost a substantial amount of the rowdiness. Maybe they'd bring in some dead Gophers again like they used to, but it seems those days are past. You're nuts if you don't think they would be just an insane as always in a home regional game after turning their season around.
