Could be a pretty good domino effect.I wonder who Kentucky targets now.
Oats or Hurley.I wonder who Kentucky targets now.
Got to be a lot more to this story. Yeah Arkansas got him about the same money but Kentucky is the center of the basketball world. Or close to it. I’m surprised.Oats or Ferry.
Yeah, I think it's a Tubby thing. It was about 50/50 he was coming back this year and Cal just locked up big money and job security.Got to be a lot more to this story. Yeah Arkansas got him about the same money but Kentucky is the center of the basketball world. Or close to it. I’m surprised.
CBJ?Oats or Hurley.
Don't think Hurley would go but Oats might.Oats or Hurley.
Wright is done, doesn't want to deal with NIL and the portal. Looks very comfortable in the studio.Jay Wright or Billy Donovan.
Let the Ben Johnson flight watch to Kentucky begin!
Pretty sure Wright is happy being competent in his Digger Phelps role at CBS.Jay Wright or Billy Donovan.
That would take a lot of dominos...CBJ?
Rumors are starting to swirl around Billy Donovan, not having a great year with the Bulls.I wonder who Kentucky targets now.
Hurley's skin is too thin, mentally, I don't he could handle it personally.Don't think Hurley would go but Oats might.
Wouldn't surprise me. The Bulls organization is a mess.Rumors are starting to swirl around Billy Donovan, not having a great year with the Bulls.
Anything Jerry touches is a mess. My White Sox....Wouldn't surprise me. The Bulls organization is a mess.
Cal leaving Kentucky for a lesser job outside the fish bowl to finish off his career feels so much like Tubby leaving them to come here.
Don't think Hurley would go but Oats might.
I've been told here college basketball is about talent and not coaching... funny how having all the talent in the world didn't work out for Cal in the end.Since 2016, Cal had 16 first round picks and not one FF

I am not sure how good of a coach Cal is but getting even the most talented players to work together as one and done guys has to be a major challenge. Put those guys up against slightly less talented guys that have played together for a few years and it is going to be a battle - as Kentucky has found. Doing the Michigan Fab 5 thing is a tough thing.I've been told here college basketball is about talent and not coaching... funny how having all the talent in the world didn't work out for Cal in the end.
It all comes full circle lolBen Johnson to Kentucky. You heard it here first!
Exactly, no matter who your guys are, you still need a coach who can bring them together and execute at a more consistent level than the opponent.I am not sure how good of a coach Cal is but getting even the most talented players to work together as one and done guys has to be a major challenge. I agree, that's a possibility. KY didn't blush with Cal's antics. Sure they can wipe Pearl's slime off as well.Others will turn it down before him, but I'll take a flyer on Bruce Pearl ending up in Lexington.
