Seems that way. He is a bit intense, so I can see how it would turn quickly once the winning stops. I'd still take him.Why does Musselman want out of Arky? Has he wore out his welcome?

I don't know anything about this guy, but grabbing an experienced assistant from a nationally successful program who lives in the neighborhood seems like a good idea to me.The Beach chimes in:
Go Gophers!!

Big Ten is too much for him.Kitchen must be getting hot at SoCal
I won’t miss him in the league. With today’s events, I may not even pay attention to the league anymore.Top Wisconsin Badgers assistant coach rumored to leave for MVC school

Nagy can coach.
Apparently not Krabbenhoft after all
Gophers can't compete with southern Illinois? How is it they can hire a guy with that resume?Nagy can coach.
I like Nagy, but he's sure taken a strange path. He turned down opportunities to leave SDSU for years, then when he finally did went to Wright State, a pretty marginal step up. Now from Wright State to Southern Illinois. Another pretty marginal upgrade.Nagy can coach.
Mn can't.Gophers can't compete with southern Illinois? How is it they can hire a guy with that resume?
My guess is lifestyle decisions. He could have taken a trajectory into high major and made conscious decisions not to take that route.I like Nagy, but he's sure taken a strange path. Gerry without the Buddy Lee haircut is just wrong. This hire makes me feel old
There is a possibility that Coyle is a check cashing clock watcher. I mean the evidence…Gophers can't compete with southern Illinois? How is it they can hire a guy with that resume?
What a strange world we live in. Mack is a top-shelf coach.Charleston just hired 10x the coach we have
True but he was major league stressed out at Louisville. Great at Xavier. Not as confining a fish bowl. I think this a great match up of coach and program. Fits his personality much better. What a strange world we live in. Mack is a top-shelf coach.
Ben McCollum's name has come up several times on this board before as a potential Gophers hire - which is ridiculous (that is, hiring a D-II coach into the Big Ten). That being said, he is still more qualified than Ben Johnson.
