Boys basketball: A look at the postseason picture (February 19, 2014)
- What is left to be decided: Bothell and Roosevelt avoided an exit from the playoffs with wins in loser-out games yesterday. They face each other Thursday (tip scheduled for 8:15 pm at Juanita High School). The winner is the No. 3 seed and faces the Wesco No. 3 seed in a winner-to-regional, loser-out game. That will be played at the Wesco team’s home at 7 pm on Saturday.

67-64 over Tallahassee (Tuesday, February 18, 2014)
With 2:42 left in the first half, they tied it up at 26-26 with two freethrows from Morris. Cameron Dozier was fouled on the Eagle’s next possession and he hit both shots from the line to give the Eagles their first lead of the night.
They tacked on two more points when Morris snatched a loose ball and dished it off to Marlon Johnson. He put it away with a dunk, bringing to life a TCC crowd that had been quiet up to that point.

He said that after?

yup, after, it was a playoff game and things got heated on both sides, josh martin responded with "your season is over"

I love it. That sorta stuff will fuel Martin even more. He already seemed like a kid with a chip on his shoulder. Can't wait to get him on campus this fall.

Impressive stats from Morris, good to see he can blend in and average 14 on a good team or take over if needed and average in the 20's, my guess is that it will be a rotation at the guard positions with McNeil and Morris sharing most of the time at the 3.

Can't you and Pollyanna get anything right? I'm the one who said Morris is not that good, not Martin. I thought you promised to leave the board for 3 days after we lost to Illinois?

Au contraire mon frere

I said I wanted to, and would likely be unable to....

Can you sir, get anything right?

Boys basketball: Warriors’ season ends with 67-55 loss to Bothell(February 22, 2014)
Bothell features Minnesota signee Josh Martin, who came into the game averaging 28 points a game. The Warriors held him slightly below that, with 23, but Martin was still a factor, both defensively and more importantly by drawing double-teams and freeing up his teammates, including Peyton Cordova-Smith, who scored 21 points –13 over his average.

The Bothell Cougars come into Saturday's Regional contest with a season record of 16-9 and won the competitive KingCo League Crest Division championship with an 8-6 record. The Cougars lost their opening-round game of the KingCo Tournament to Roosevelt, 70-61, before winning their next four playoff games over Inglemoor, Eastlake, a rematch with Roosevelt and Edmonds-Woodway Saturday night. The victory 67-55 win over Edmonds-Woodway in a loser-out contest gave Bothell the Northwest District's third seed to Regionals.

The Cougars are led by 6-foot-9 Josh Martin, who is regarded as the best big man in the state. Martin has already inked a national letter of intent to play next season for Richard Pitino at the University of Minnesota. Martin is the only player on Bothell averaging in double figures at 27.2 points a game.

The two teams have only one common opponent this season — the Federal Way Eagles. Federal Way beat Bothell, 61-57, at the King Holiday Hoopfest Jan. 20. Martin tallied a season-low 10 points during the game after leaving with an ankle injury early in the second half. Beamer beat Federal Way two of three times this season.
