I know about the "best player available" concept, and the needs of each team, but are they a little heavy on tight ends so far. I would much rather have a great pass rusher, WR or QB. I hope that a couple of Gophers get selected.
1st game I ever saw at Memorial Stadium was Indiana. Had to be 1973. I've written this before, his QB was Willie Jones and basketball great Quinn Buckner started at safety. Gophers won nicely.

I am glad to hear that it is not confirmed that SON is no more. I do recall him posting a few years ago that he was a heart attack survivor. I too hope that he is doing well.
I wish that he would have given a statement at the start instead of just going to questions. IIRC when Holtz was hired he stated, "I do not have a magic wand, but we will work hard...." IMHO Holtz did have somewhat of a magic wand - his knack for playcalling is rarely seen.
OK, this is not a new take, but the NCAA is a joke as far as women's hoops goes. SDSU is required to go to Storrs to play UCONN. The outcome would not have been different at another site, but give me a break.

Its been a couple of years but a friend who is much better at sports trivia than me, and IIRC, he said that Curry might have been drafted as a DB or WR. Any truth to that? I thought that Curry was on his hometown Dolphin's roster for a year or two. Go Gophers!
