Always appreciated ______ (name escapes me) who posted game highlights to music circa 2003-2005.
Maybe it was the guy that owns the worlds biggest ball of twine?Wasn't there a guy with "Darwin" (as in the city) in his moniker that used to post? Doc Darwin or something like that.
Comes around during football season. What happened to MNVCGUY?
He used to post some pretty good things here.
Oh, I know @MNVCGUY is still around and more active on the basketball board right now.Comes around during football season.
That's true of a number of posters. They just aren't very active in the off-season.

It was a set-up for a cheap-shot follow up post.Post #62 in this thread
Spending more time on basketball board since it is finally a lot less depressing over there then it has been for the past few seasons.....but I still keep tabs on the football board and if I had to pick one or the other I would go football in a heartbeat.
I figured it was because he wasn't part of the torch and pitchforks crew over thereIt was a set-up for a cheap-shot follow up post.
For the record, @MNVCGUY is a high quality poster, but that's how you write comedy.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
I have seen it in person. It IS a very big ball of twine in a large glass case in the middle of town.Maybe it was the guy that owns the worlds biggest ball of twine?
It's quite impressive.I have seen it in person. It IS a very big ball of twine in a large glass case in the middle of town.
Yes but have you seen the World’s Largest Irrigation System?I have seen it in person. It IS a very big ball of twine in a large glass case in the middle of town.
Now that you’ve been located, does this mean we have to cancel the plans for the MNVCGUY wake we’d made?Post #62 in this thread

maybe....maybe not....is there a way I could get some gifts out of this? Now that you’ve been located, does this mean we have to cancel the plans for the MNVCGUY wake we’d made?

Everybody should have the fortune of having a wake for them while they're still alive so they can hear all the nice things everyone has to say about themmaybe....maybe not....is there a way I could get some gifts out of this?
I was going to say, his writing style sticks out like a sore thumb. He can't hide it. He is literally a sick person.Yeah, I remember @MPLS_Gopher and something like @Gophers4Lyfe I think?
But I think it'd be kinda easy to recognize if he was still posting - there was just something about each post that kinda set it apart, like the tone, word choice, etc.
I think he's gone.
When I was a kid in Dassel we often drove by it in its original location, long before it was even "completed"--uncovered, then covered. It was in the Guinness Book of World Records even then. God, I'm old.I have seen it in person. It IS a very big ball of twine in a large glass case in the middle of town.
Hiway 12 on the way to the cities. When I was a kid in Dassel we often drove by it in its original location, long before it was even "completed"--uncovered, then covered. It was in the Guinness Book of World Records even then. God, I'm old.
Yeahhh…. Yer not wrong.I was going to say, his writing style sticks out like a sore thumb. He can't hide it. He is literally a sick person.
Just curious. Any particular reason he called himself a doctor? Have a fancy degree?Doctor Don died a few years back when he was living in Arizona. I knew him well when he taught school in New Richland.
I am glad to hear that it is not confirmed that SON is no more. I do recall him posting a few years ago that he was a heart attack survivor. I too hope that he is doing well.
Wait! What? I'm in my 70's. What are you saying?Builtbadgers is another guy who was a prolific poster, but hasn't been here for more than a year and a half now. He said he was in his 70s, so maybe time got him, like it did a Dick Bennett offense.
Wait what was a solid poster. Many have ‘gone west’Wait! What? I'm in my 70's. What are you saying?
The Big Sleep has been known to affect people in their 70s, unfortunately. Happy that you’re still with us, Mulligan!Wait! What? I'm in my 70's. What are you saying?
You oughta give him a mulligan on that one.Wait! What? I'm in my 70's. What are you saying?
I'm glad you got to see 2019 and hope for some more highs to come after the dark ages you went through!Soon to be 80, and still a Gopher fan. Perseverance thru adversity, that's my Gopher mantra.
It's true that there have been a lot of lean years, but on the flip side I was a teenager and already a fan when the Gophers went to two Rose Bowls and won a National Championship.I'm glad you got to see 2019 and hope for some more highs to come after the dark ages you went through!
Sorry to hear that. As I recall (and at my age recollection is often off-base), he ran the "predict the score" for a few seasons and he was a bit of a stickler when it came to how the entries had to be formatted. Always loved his insights.Doctor Don died a few years back when he was living in Arizona. I knew him well when he taught school in New Richland.
