Shocking news that he passed away. He was one of those people for whom "Sportswriter" seemed inadequate. He wrote a lot of good books, but "A Season on the Brink" is still my favorite.

A Good Walk Spoiled

For me it’s Season On the Brink and The Last Amateurs, both outstanding books.

RIP to one of the best.

Go Gophers!!

Let Me Tell You A Story about Red Auerbach was written long past Feinstein's celebrity was established and he was being criticized for being a book factory, but it was one of the most enjoyable sports reads I've ever had. Well worth it for basketball fans.

Last week I think it was NPR that replayed an interview with Feinstein. I have not read any of his books, but I will now.

A Good Walk Spoiled and The First Major are excellent.

For The First Major, Feinstein did lots interviews/press in the Twin Cities media both in the lead-up to the 2016 Ryder Cup in Hazeltine (the subject of the book) as well after it was published.

An entertaining read indeed.
