It will be hard to replicate the excitement of Week 1, but here are some of the games.

Tonight
Louisville at Syracuse

Saturday
SMU at Baylor
Arkansas at TCU
Iowa State at iowa
Va Tech at Tenn
Virginia at Oregon

Arkansas at TCU might be interesting. TCU had all kinds of problems with SDSU, so they very well may get rolled in this one. Virginia at Oregon might be interesting to see how good Oregon really is.

For me, Iowa State at Iowa. Iowa State got beat by Northern Iowa last week. Still, I think they might give the Hawkeyes a game. Also going to see if Oregon State bounces back.

Oregon State has a bye this week.

As awesome as the opening weekend is, that's usually how poor the second weekend is.

Hopefully, in the future, they find a way to almost split up some of those opening games until the 2nd weekend. I'm guessing some coaches would be in favor for it as they would have a game under their belts. Perhaps not as they'd have a game on video for their opponents. But if would be nice if a few came the 2nd week.

On the other hand Arkansas eeked out a 1 point win over Louisiana Tech...

Well there really is no "they" that determines such things. Each school makes their own call for their own reasons.

I'm personally most looking forward to seeing 165,000 fans pack Bristol Motor Speedway for that Va Tech vs. Tennessee game. Going to be quite the incredible sight.

TV could influence that call for them. The neutral site games I understand, as you want the Labor Day for extra day of travel. But a home site game like Clemson-Auburn and A&M-UCLA I think could be nudged a little. Especially in terms of attention. I don't think A&M-UCLA got much attention at all compared to the other games of the weekend. It would probably be THE game this weekend.

The scheduling is so far out and complex I'm not sure "TV" could play much of a role.

Once you start messing with a schedule for one season you can pretty much wreck the next several seasons. Plus make any adjustments and you can start costing schools money as far as moves and cancellation goes.

Tonight
Louisville at Syracuse

Saturday
SMU at Baylor
Arkansas at TCU
Iowa State at iowa
Va Tech at Tenn
Virginia at Oregon

1) I'll take SMU in an epic upset
2) I think TCU rebounds and wins a close one
3) Iowa will break the five year streak of the visitor winning this game
4) Take Tennesee at the racetrack
5) Oregon rolls
As for tonight I'll take Louisville

My, Syracuse football is an ugly affair. Awful stadium, see Metro Dump. The Uniforms, they must be getting funding from Nike or whomever. And they cannot block, tackle or anything resembling football. Just awful.

Ugly ugly uniforms. I hate their up tempo offense. They can score if 7 or 8 plays and let Louisville score in 2.

I don't know if Jackson is just that good or Syracuse is just that bad.

I'm thinking the score reflects more of Syracuse just being bad. From what I've seen, Cuse has had a couple flashes here and there but nothing sustainable and for the most part they're being overwhelmed.

Looking like Maryland is much better under the new coach. Wouldn't be surprised to see them beat us. Wouldn't be surprised to see us beat them. I'd give the edge to Maryland right now.

Dredrick Snelson will likely play vs Michigan today. Had 2 receptions for 31 yards last week. I know he has a lot of fans here.

Desmond Howard picking East Carolina over NC State. Get em Philip.

Pitt is beating Penn State 14-0 in halfway thru the 1st.

East Carolina up on North Carolina State 9-0 in the 1st. Nelson is 12-15 for 140 so far.

Penn State down 21-7 and just fumbled within their own 30-yard line. Not looking good.

Nebraska struggling against Wyoming. Just went up 24-10.

- OK State and Central Michigan tied at 17 with 5 minutes left in 3rd.

- East Carolina 26 - NCSU 23 with 4:00 to go in 3rd.
- Pitt 35- Penn State 21 with 7:00 to go in the 3rd.

#2 Clemson over Troy 13-10 in the 3rd.
Clemson coach doesn't belong in D1
