We need Royce

I am an attorney ...
I doubt it -- your earlier questions in other threads and your statements here and elsewhere aren't at all indicative of a law degree.

As to why I referenced my wife's work (and mine) -- read what I wrote: I'll put my beliefs in our legal system against yours any day of the week.

Finally, as to "mean-spirited jabs" -- I haven't made any. But I wholly disagree with your apparent preference that we let Royce back on the team "because we need him." Apparently you can't distinguish between those who disagree with your position and those who may have made "mean-spirited jabs." That lack of clarity is also inconsistent with your claim about being an attorney.

Let us not forget this CG gem...

Let us not forget this CG gem:

"With Royce we wouldn't lose to a bunch of unathletic white guys... "

Classy.

it is not wrong to call Portland nonathletic white guys, because that is what they are. Royce and Trevor are miles ahead of no balls Sampson and no post moves colt 45. But both will be awesome by the time their college careers are over.

hmmmm

I respectfuly disagree.

The game of basketball is an athletic team contest. Portland, having won in virtually every statistical measure including the final score, would have to be awarded the title of "most athletic", even if only for this one night.

The distinction of their race serves no productive purpose and is no better than making stereotypical racial references to players of color.

I for one think the man deserves more respect from his home team's so called fans.

I think we should give him respect once he actually tries to show it. Is getting kicked out of his high school his way of showing respect? Is quitting on his pully team his way of showing respect? Is getting kicked out of his dorm room? Is shop lifting his way of showing respect? As a 17 year old high school senior I know the difference between right and wrong, I know to treat people with respect, pushing security guards over is not showing respect, shoplifting from a store is not showing respect. GROW UP ROYCE

"Aren't Indicative of a law degree" LOL. You are so WRONG, its laughable. If I don't have a law degree and am not an attorney, then your wife is not an attorney and you are a low level pencil pusher.

You like to twist what I say and then argue against that as your logic skills are deficient. And yes it is my opinion that you are prejudiced against Royce and that is not something to be proud of.

Go read Royce's blog and you might feel differently. Please acknowledge that Royce has been a big advocate of Gopher BB and helped bring his friend Rodney Williams into the program.

Nobody says Royce hasn't erred in the past, but Tubby signed him and he was given a clean slate when he came to the U, so I don't care about the pre-U stuff. As far as his conduct at the U, he hasn't been convicted of anything as far as I am aware. Your tone suggests you have convicted him of conduct he's only been charged with. Its a shame that you want to prejudge him.

Okay, great lawyer: For once in your era here, put your score prediction in the right format.

Yrs. Truly,

The low level pencil pusher.

Funny, you should bring this stuff up. My very first prediction on this board was this one:

10-18-2009, 06:01 PM
CaliforniaGopher
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ohio St. 38 Gophers 10

My first posted prediction and I virtually nailed it--tying for first place. But you seemingly couldn't understand my prediction so you ignored it and didn't give me any credit. OK, I thought what an A**, and I no longer want credit from you as your prediction thread is a joke. I will post my response in any format I choose maybe just to rile you a little. Can you understand that Sherlock?

Lets just let this drop. Who cares.

It would be nice if Royce was behaving to the level expected by Tubby to play. He isn't at this time, so he is not on the team right now. We lost. We didn't have him, if we did, we can't be assured that we would have won either.

I am not a lawyer, but I do know when it is time to rest my case.

Congrats on your brilliance in predicting a score. Too bad you couldn't understand how to submit it.

Over 170 people -- including Wisconsin and Iowa fans -- understood how to format their picks during this past season. You seemingly couldn't. You've gotta work on those reading skills, CG.

I explained it clearly to you, but I guess you are slow. I have little time for mean spirited and petty people like you.

CG...Then why do you always reply back? You must have time for ""mean spirited and petty people"" like Rick Mons.

Please, let's stop the pi$$ing contest.

Royce White is a punk

I for one think the man deserves more respect from his home team's so called fans.

That is laughable. He deserves respect because he is from our home state? Royce does not deserve any respect from anybody until he shows respect for other people and for the gopher basketball program. Did Royce respect Macy's? Did he respect the security officer he shoved down multiple times? Did he respect the owner of the laptop? Did he respect De La Salle High School?

Royce White is now a punchline and I hope he never plays a minute in a gopher uniform

Wow, you are criticizing Royce for things that occured before he was a Gopher and for things he has not been convicted of. Shame on you for your prejudice.

By the way, we wouldn't have lost to Portland or Texas A&M with Royce playing. Hopefully, Tubby is more forgiving than a handful of mean spirited fans on this Board.

What are you saying we should forget everything Royce did before he was a Gopher? And the MOA is big place and I'm sure their must be some kind of video from the whole Macy's incident that will either prove Royce is not guilty or guilty. CG are you trying to compete with Bronko Nagurski Gopher for calling fans non fans for not thinking a player should play because he is being charged with breaking the law?

croc tears

oh boo hoo

darn those mean spirited fans

boo hoo boo hoo

Oh, as an attorney let me just say... Oh, wait a minute, I am not an attorney in REAL life, but I have decided to be one on this board because everyone else seems to be..

I lost my train of thought.. oh yeah..

BOO HOO

Um, first maybe you should look up the word prejudiced, I am making opinions based on Royce Whites actions and how he conducts himself. Secondly what does being convicted have to do with his actions? If He would have successfully shoplifted and not gotten caught then that is OK?

"What are you saying we should forget everything Royce did before he was a Gopher?"

Is that difficult for you? If so, I think you need help.

Is not being obsessed with a 18 year old kid difficult for you? Is so, I know you need help.

Are you demonstrating your lack of intelligence again?

I think we are all a little obsessed with the Gophers to even post here. If you can't admit that, you need to do an honest self examination. I am happy to defend a Gopher against unfair attacks. Its funny to see self righteous fans like you turn so quickly on a Gopher. Great recruiting tool.

So according to you since Royce hasn't been convicted of his crime he didn't do it? I believe he did otherwise Tubby would have let him stay on the team and not told him to stay away from the basketball team. I am the first person to ever get his law degree and become a doctor, while still in high school, at the age of 17. If I say it on a message board it has to be true right? CG being an attorney my a$$.

goldy..

Hey, I just tonight became an attorney on the internet. Now you mean to say I have to become a Doctor too?

The upward mobility on this board is awesome!

Hey, I am an attorney on the internet! Just like you!

Oh, I forgot to say, darn those mean spirited fans

Wrong!! I am an attorney in real life and rarely on the internet. I can't ever recall disclosing that I am an attorney on a sports discussion forum except when someone like the fool who attacked me says he knows more about the legal system than I do. Apparently, you are disatisfied with who you are so go ahead and pretend if it makes you feel better.

goldygo4, I am glad you get it and it sounds like you have a level head on your shoulders unlike a lot of people around this board. Convicted or Not Convicted has nothing to do with if he did it or not. His actions were poor choices and whether or not he is found "guilty" in a court has no bearing on his actions being wrong. He stole and pushed down a security guard and he is paying for his actions.

more lol

Actually, I am beginning to like you because you continue to make me laugh. You can add the profession of comedian to your internet business card!

:) :) :)
