With Royce we beat Portland and contend for Big Ten title. Without Royce we are pretty much same team as last year, maybe win one more game.

C'mon Royce get your stuff together and get back on the court for the Gophers.
 

Yes, we need Royce, Mbakwe, and Bostick out there. Maybe this loss will knock some sense into Maturi and get these kids back out there, ASAP.
 

Cal needs Royce. the rest of us will deal with real life.

Every game we lose, we can thank Royce for the "effort". Get your crap together, this year or next, and gain retribution. If you truly straighten your crap out and contribute positively, this team and this city will rally around you.
 

I was wondering how long it was going to take before somebody brought up Royce, Trevor and Devron after the first loss. I guess I have my answer. :eek:

If we can't rebound against Portland, how would we rebound against Big Ten teams? We just aren't a good free throw shooting team so we have to make it up in other areas.

We don't have any consistent clutch players and I think Royce can be that guy.
 




Scenarios like the last 5 minutes of this game is why we need royce. Portland tried to had us this game, but we needed a superstar to take over the scoring at the end. Instead we had bad 3's by hoff, Rodney, and westbrook. Plus anyone else think Rodney has been exposed some this tournament as a little overrated. Don't get me wrong I think he will be a star, but against teams with talent he has been shut down pretty easily.

Uh, you say you're a Kentuckian with your moniker ... and with what you wrote.

The only ass here is the one you look at every morning ... assuming you have a mirror. And, assuming you can see in the morning. Ah, so many assumptions.
 

I didn't think that we rebounded that poorly. Sure, the numbers didn't look so hot but I think that can be contributed to the fact that we missed a ton of shots and Portland got a few long rebounds off of missed threes, which you can't do much about.

I do agree about the free throw shooting, though. I would rate that #1 in the things that I would like to see cleaned up.

The team isn't letting Royce down. Royce let the team down. Get your priorities straight. Only someone that feels theft is permissible behavor would accept your side of the argument.

The fact that you can only make an argument against my position by making a broad based prejudicial judgment based on a state with a population of 4 million shows how ignorant you are. It's one thing to not agree with something said, but to make such an ignorant, bigoted, prejudicial statement that it's because of where I'm geographically located shows how stupid YOU are, not me.

You miss my point. I never said I condoned bad behavior.. I just don't think the Gophers will be a great team this year without Royce White. You can't' deny his talent and star power. I hope he straightens things out in Tubby's eyes soon so he can get back to the court soon.

No point in arguing with a Kentuckian ... logic eludes you. ("Eludes" means "passed you like a moonshiner's car chased by the Revenuers" in Kentuckian.) ... ;)
 

Yea, like we don't need a top 20 recruit playing on our team right now. Seriously think about that for a second.

Dumb comments, sorry.

Bostick will be back next week, Tubby says.

Mbakwe is charged with a felony. His suspension is correct but charges may be dropped soon so he might be back very soon also.

Royce is deservedly suspended. And Tubby (not Maturi) will decide whether returns or not.

A superstar? White has played 0 minutes in college. Anointing him a superstar maybe setting expectations a tad too high.
 


Royce is neither a great free throw shooter or a three point specialist. We will need him eventually, but his absence was not why we lost.

Its hardly a cheapshot when you've got the sticky fingers like Royce has. I strongly believe that we'll never see Royce in action as a Gopher and after the stuff I've seen, I have no problem with that.

And yes, I wouldn't say anything to his face either .. he'd probably push me down or something.

All that aside, we would have been a better team this year with him on it, but his off the court actions, not the suspension from Tubby, make that unlikely
