Talk to Goldie.3 of the last 4 years, my head is always spinning on how we lost that game.

The Nebraska game might have been lost without Wright's two catches. I guess that was not good enough.
#22 plays almost every down though, and does almost nothing, but at last a sure TD did not hit him in the facemask this week.
I'm just going to insert this Minnesota football related comment right here:Let me guess, the Gophers won on about every stat, except turnovers and the final score. This was no fluke. They choked it away. There were so many ways to come up with a win, even after the two turnovers.
What say you GopherHoler's?!
Honeymoon is definitely over for Fleck as far as I'm concerned. I can't remember the last time I was this pissed off after a Gopher game. Call me when they get decent again, because right now they are just a typical old Gopher team of the last 50 years. It’s been 3+ hours and I am still pissed
Wow. They respect one of our players. I guess beating us six times in a row gives them the comfort of letting their guard down on one talented player on a team that they don't ever have to worry about losing to. Football is a team sport. If you want to wallow in glory of individual stats, then take up golf or cross country running. The I-O-W-A Rivals site has a thread on how GH is blowing up. I guess if we'd won we could note the same.
There is however a thread on Mo that is highly complimentary. Even an accolade from the Hawks recognizing just what Mo Ibrahim can do is still a compliment.
We have had the pleasure of witnessing football greatness. That is a good thing as a Gopher.

This was the game and was Tim Brewster level coaching. PJ beginning to trend toward Brewster vs Warmath. That sequence before halftime ending with the missed chip shot field goal shows KOK and PJF do not know that the F they are doing. They abandoned their normal rigid playcalling and ended up with squat after being near the goal line with a 3rd and short call to make.
I can't blame Mo one iota. How could he not think he has to win the game by himself. His coach had the QB hand him the ball almost 20 times in a row in the 4th quarter. Fleck was like, I don't want our staff to have to coach, let's just hand the ball to Mo the whole 2nd half. Even on 3rd and 6. No one will expect him to get the ball. Plus, it's a lot easier in the closer you get to the goal line.I think Mo was gassed, but I don’t think that is why he fumbled. It looked to me, and Brando said the same on the game broadcast, that Mo was moving to try and extend the ball for the first down. He was still almost 2 yards from the line to gain. Wasn’t a smart decision on his part. I still don’t think this single play cost is the game, but we were in field goal range and it was a gamble by him that didn’t pay off.
And we’ll have UNC, MSU, MICH, OSU to play tooOur offense is really scary to think about next year. We just have nothing other than Mo.
You forgot their explosive plays where our #55 and #23 were out of place! This! We were driving to at minimum go up 3........fumble
miss a chip shot
The ball deflects of them for an interception and we drop it. our interception chance. Of course, they don't drop theirs.
You just can't make it up.
Another apologist. Why do I have this feeling that the people complaing about the lack of pass attempts would be the same people complaing if we passed while we were running it down iowa's throat?
We run two plays.......MO and the occasional slant.I don’t think I saw us run a screen. It’s not glamorous, but a low risk pass that would at least mix it up a bit. We’re there any penalties called?
Yep....multiple opportunities were there to win this game, our guys didn't make the plays, theirs did. The chicken little, fire Fleck crowd will be out in full force for the next day or so.This! We were driving to at minimum go up 3........fumble
miss a chip shot

I would have rather seen Mo run the ball again on 3rd and 8 at the end of the game. They were on the Iowa 33 and going into the wind. You basically have two plays to get a first down and Iowa never gets the ball back. If you fail you are making Iowa go 45-50 yards to set up a potential game winning field goal. The same Iowa team that had punted 4 straight times in the 2nd half. Tell Kirk you have two plays to get 8 yards and win us the game. You showed you had no faith in your QB, so expecting him to all of a sudden complete a pass on 3rd and 8 to win the game was a mistake.
What say you GopherHoler's?!
It was obvious within the 1st 3 offensive plays of the game Fleck wasnt playing to win. He was playing not to lose.Hey, maybe I'm wrong.
But I still get the sense that the Gophers' message to players is "don't make a mistake."
Other coaches tell their players to "go out and make a play to win the game."
Even an offensively-challenged team like IA looked looser on offense.
Except for Mo, as far as the Gophers are concerned, to quote Seattle Pilots manager Joe Schultz, "they were so tight you couldn't pull a needle out of their ass with a tractor."
