Kevon Looney announces October 31st. If he commits to Duke that would hopefully make it less likely Reid goes there.
Ryan James says he thinks it will be between Minnesota and Duke...
How many scholarships does Duke have available? If they get Tyus, Jahlil and Kevin, do they still have a scholarship available for Reid?
Kevin Looney's crystal ball is 27 picks to Duke out of 27. I know crystal ball isn't guaranteed but still. Would Reid really go to Duke if Looney commits there on the 31st?
I think when stuff gets off topic or turns into the Tubby v. Anti-Tubby debate that the mods like to get the thread back on track by cleaning up some of the distracting off topic posts.
Does anybody know if Michael Humphrey has a date scheduled to announce his choice? Looks like the 247 guys are predicting Stanford. It would be huge if Looney committed to Duke and Humphrey committed to Stanford prior to November 8th.

this article from last Wednesday (10/23) (local Tucson paper)
October 23, 2013 1:06 pm • Bruce Pascoe Arizona Daily Star
After finishing his official visit to Arizona last weekend, Phoenix big man Michael Humphrey has an unclear timetable for a decision.
Humphrey told the Star via text message that his visit to Arizona was “great,” but also wrote that he wasn’t sure when he would decide between UA and Stanford.
“As far as a decision goes, I don’t know when I will decide, just letting it all sink in,” he said.
According to 247 Sports’ Jerry Meyer, Stanford’s Johnny Dawkins made an in-home visit to Humphrey on Monday (Meyer also said Humphrey will make a decision by the end of this week). Humphrey has already taken an official visit to Stanford.

Just an example of how the crystal ball stuff works. I tweeted at Jerry Meyer this:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/jerrymeyer247">@jerrymeyer247</a> If Kevon Looney ends up at Duke does Reid Travis's crystal ball dramatically change?</p>— Down with Goldy (@DownwithGoldy) <a href="https://twitter.com/DownwithGoldy/statuses/395014630054973440">October 29, 2013</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
He responded by telling me nothing:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Not sure cause Duke expected 4 Looney RT <a href="https://twitter.com/DownwithGoldy">@DownwithGoldy</a>: If Kevon Looney ends up at Duke does Reid Travis's crystal ball dramatically change</p>— Jerry Meyer (@jerrymeyer247) <a href="https://twitter.com/jerrymeyer247/statuses/395015740970909696">October 29, 2013</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
So I tried it a different way:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/jerrymeyer247">@jerrymeyer247</a> Ok then. Do you think a Looney to Duke commitment would turn Travis off? Turn Duke off?</p>— Down with Goldy (@DownwithGoldy) <a href="https://twitter.com/DownwithGoldy/statuses/395016415201071104">October 29, 2013</a></blockquote>

He didn't respond to me, but less than a half hour later Meyer changed his pick on Travis to the Gophers. To me, as weird as this sounds, it says a recruiting "expert" didn't put together the fact that Looney and Travis were unlikely to co-exist. It's either that or he, and many others, figured by putting both Travis and Looney to Duke they'd get at least one right. To be sure, this exchange leads me to be much less interested in the crystal ball stuff.
Looks like he was doubting it before you even tweeted at him.
Jerry Meyer is the kiss of death for the Gophers - see Newton, Macura, Whitehead.
*hope he gets this one right!
