Reid Travis just tweeted a picture of his view at the hockey game with the thumbs up emoji. Seems to be at least enjoying himself!

It's been a great game for a neutral. We went up 2-0 and then BC scored 3 straight in like 2 minutes. So entertaining to say the least.
 



Since Reid lives so close to campus, do you think they still put him up in a hotel since it's an official visit?
 



Great that Mason provides positive vibes with Travis on campus. No doubt the staff and players are feeling upbeat and giving Travis that same feeling. Get him and the program begins its rise.
 




Since Reid gave Pitino the tour of campus and knows the city better than anyone, I think this visit is jus a formality. Let's just hope that he decides to stay home and represent Minneapolis. He strikes me as the type of kid who is not a follower and a kid that will be successful wherever he goes. Stay home Reid, and if you don't, best of luck. The U is not lacking for opportunities, ask Andre Hollins.

+2 He would be one of us. Not an Isiah Dahlman, Michael Floyd or another of many who left and really have no tie to Minnesota other than they went to high school here. Nothing wrong with those who left but there is something to be said for true Minnesotians. He could be THE GUY who made this program the place to be for in state kids.

Reid has to be loving the energy and atmosphere at the football game.

I saw Reid walking out after the game with Andre Hollins and Coach Ben Johnson. He was decked out in Gopher gear and was smiling at fans as a few chanted his name. He was wearing a walking boot but seemed fine otherwise.

Now is his announcement going to be on ESPN? Also, I noticed he is announcing Nov. 8th, that's first game of the season for the Gophers... Coincidence???
 

I like our chances with Reid. Our academics don't compare to Stanford or Duke, but they're good enough to land a solid job and he knows he'd be a hometown hero and a game changer for Pitino. He seems like a true family values person, so staying close to home and getting a lot of playing time in front of family might outweigh our lower academic rankings.

I'm happy that he's been hanging around campus a lot lately. The more face time we get the better our chance become. Get it done Pitino!
