***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA VS WAKE FOREST 3RD PLACE ESPN EVENTS INVITATIONAL IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Def have to do better on D glass in second half. Right now we survived it due to Wake missing 3s and lay ups off the boards.

Also good d on Sallis. But cant expect him to go 0 fer all game

One interesting thing I took away was Patterson playing out of the post some. I don't recall that happening much in the earlier games. I think that has been pretty effective. On Asuma's 3, Patterson drew the double team, kicked it out, we fed the other post to Edmonds, who got doubled, and kicked it to Asuma for the 3.

Also ran a nice action on the one BLOB, to get Rigsby a wide open 3 that he unfortunately missed.

Wakes been an above avg defensive team so far this year, so I'm somewhat encouraged by the offense. Also, making FT's would be nice.

Good minutes from Edmonds. He looked solid early in the year

Then in classic Ben fashion saw his minutes evaporate for Tubby Mitchell and Fox.

Edmonds should be in the rotation with them. He's long and active as hell. You need that in big 10 play
I like Edmunds better than Mitchell. Mitchell is an energy player but not good on the defensive end- he appears to be about 6-6 and other teams' bigs go right over him.

There is enough here where I think with Mike Mitchell and Cochran back and if they could shoot just reasonably from 3 and FT line they could win 6 games or so in the Big Ten. Patterson is a tough kid but he cannot be more than a role player on a team that wins games in the Big Ten. Asuma is getting there....

Rigsby likes to jack shots- and he misses. Not a great combo.

I hope we start doubling down on the post feeds on defense. We're getting cooked pretty bad right now. Plus Wake is like 1-11 or something from 3.

Patterson is a ball stopper. Asuma moves the ball- yet Ben persists in having Patterson start the offense. Crazy.

Another Patterson post touch eventually leads to an Asuma 3.

Is Asuma still bad? Kids the only one who can make a 3.

I'm fine with as long as he's in the post. Both of Asuma's 3's started with Patterson getting doubled in the post, followed by dribbling with a purpose and kicking out to him.

One thing I will say about this team. They Find a way to never go away

Wake and Wichita yesterday I think turn it over or miss a bad shot every time they get up 4-6 pts

Are there two teams in all of college ball who shoot this poorly?

Florida watching this game "Wtf are we doing in this tournament"

These are two legitamately awful teams

Free throws:
Minnesota - 6/15 (40%)
Wake Forest - 13/14 (92.9%)

That's your game.
