Man, I'm a little nervous about us not being able to pull away. That could be bad news in the second half.
 


Williams is the only guy out there holding our team up right now. I'm glad he's stepping up like this though? 2nd 49-point game of the season?? I sure hope so!

We are up 9 on a conference bottom feeder. All that we need to do is play within 8 of one of the worst teams of the conference in the second half. We've been slumping, not comatose, this one is in the bag.

With practically 0 paint points, they are on fire.... Indiana did that too us too... People heat up and cool off... Think positive, or go make another thread about the same *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!# covered in 10 other threads?? Your choice.

they make shots.. meh
we miss shots.. meh
we lose.. meh

the only thing you have to 'add' is to tell other to add nothing.... odd

I've never read this before, you should make another thread about it.....
 

Watched the entire 1st half and tried to really examine the game...it is really clear that MN is much more physically talented that Nebraska, especially the starting 5. The gophers have three issues, IMO...they cannot shoot free throws very well, they lack a big time shooter, and they turn the ball over too much. This game should be a 15+ point game right now. The one guy from Nebraska is totally on fire. If he cools off MN wins this game by 25+

At least Ingram went to the line a few times. Overall I think it is fair to say the bench sucks. Although EE hit a nice 16 footer, really nothing from them so far tonight. Mav seemed aggressive, but really did not translate into anything...

We had like 5 TO that half... Non factor in this game so far

Our FT shooting for the half was 73%... Likely tops in the big 10 for a team

We've taken like 5 jump shots this half, how do you deduce we don't have a big time shooter from this half?


What game were you watching????
 

Saw Galegos averaged 8 three point attempts and it worried me and this is why.

I think he is just talking in generalities and not this one game in particular. That's what I got from his post.

Bad d accounts for a team shooting 50% not a guy making everything he puts up... Also, we've bern pressing and causing some turnovers, the trade off being layups...I agree our defense is suspect, especially on one guy in particular , but they will not shoot 60% in the second half, math says so.

i can't... we've had so many good looks and shot well ourselves.. if nebraska locks down on half court D in 2nd half this will go down to the wire.

why do they always have to go down to the wire?

Yes in general, sorry for the confusion.
Gophs are dominating the game and should be up by 15+, IMO...

the press: either we need to go all out and force turnovers or back off and sto pthe 3 ball.. we are 2/3rds committed on the press.. good enough for a turnover here and there but they have gotten some layups after breaking it.
so there is no net positive in it other then to wear down the opponent. not good enough.
