That is some of the most boring football I've seen since we beat Kent State like 10 - 7 or w/e the hell it was. Damn this sucks.
 


18 seconds left in half and throw a short slant route. Where are the intermediate routes? Seems like it’s all either short or way down field.
 

The hits that targeting are suppose to get out of the game are that one, not on a running play like Sori-Martin's where it could be argued that the RB had as much to do with the angle of the contact.

And the proceeded to go completely backwards.

That was an awful performance by just about everyone in the first half.

Technically yes, but the sports media keeps referring to Sanford as the OC. My guess is, Sanford runs the show, Fleck just wanted to keep Simon to groom him a bit more.
 

Grimm and Thompson are at a loss. These refs are awful. They’re ball spots are off constantly. WTF this season.

At the end of the day, probably wouldn’t have mattered anyway. Would have been at the 35 with 1 sec left. Too long for a FG, so it would have been a heave to the end zone either way.

They aren't trusting Tanner to throw 15 yards downfield, or Tanner is too nervous.

He isn't settled and seems uneasy.

Don't know what happened to Tanner, but he's not the same right now.
 

Bad officiating. Bad coaching. Bad play. Bad half. Come out and score and it’s a new game. Let’s go
 

I mean, reversing the targeting call at the end was garbage. Actually, so was upholding the MSM call. So those suck and are befuddling. But it doesn't change the fact this team is playing like TRASH right now.

1) D continues getting gashed in the run game with almost no answers.
2) WRs getting zero separation.
3) Because of that, Tanner locking in on Bateman.
4) Tanner throwing late and high a LOT this year. Did Sanford change his mechanics? If so, stop.
5) Iowa stopping the run game with 6 or 7 in the box. MN has literally ZERO chance of coming back if they can't run it.
 

MN should be grateful the IA OC is a moron for not running between tackles 90% of the time and the IA QB is not very good.
This will go down as the worst half of football so far in the BIG.
