Defense is getting worked...sloppy sloppy tackling. Northwestern is only stopping themselves
 


Way too many DB tackles against the run game. Front 7 has to do a better job.
 




Northwestern is "counter-punching" really well.

But, man, I just can't stand Pat Fitzgerald.
 

It'll be interesting to see the adjustments for the 2nd half
 

Gonna need to see some big half time adjustments on D...they gettin whooped

They seem to be trapping our DL pretty well and their RBs are cutting back well. They are using our active inside DL against us right now.
 





Embarassing defensive effort...offense shows up today and the defense lays a first half egg. Next play front four makes will be it's first. Not impressed with Eric Murray at all...big time regression this year

Go away. Amaefula forced a fumble so that's at least one play. Once again you only show up when something is going wrong.
 


I think it's overreacting saying the defense is playing terrible. 10 points and 4.9 yards per play isn't bad in my book.

This game is a slug fest between two teams trying to make a statement. Great and fun 1st half.

My concern is the Dline not getting off blocks so that the NU RB has unlimited time to dance around a pick a cut back while our LBs and DBs over pursue.

He's dancing around a lot, but seems like he only picks up a couple most of the time.
 

I don't think it's that the Gophers D is playing horribly, so much as its just disconcerting that our offense is finally clicking and suddenly now our defensive effort doesn't seem as consistent as previously.
 

Shaping up to be a battle of wills. Whoever touches the ball last may ultimately decide the game.

Yes but then they found a way to screw it up...even you could have fallen on the ball more gracefully. In case you forgot this is a message board where people vent their frustration.
 

Hopefully we can cook up some tasty adjustments.
 

We should have had a turnover on their only TD drive. Defense isn't playing great but I think they'll make a big play or two in the second half.
