Take the time out on 3rd and 8 instead of letting them run uncovered!
 



I'm glad our Defense is at least making NW really work for it...
 




Giving up way too many yards on 3rd and long.
 

Not impressed with our D at all...too many large chunk plays on third down. Feels like I am watching the Vikings
 

We aren't even covering their backs out of the backfield. That's an adjustment Claeys will need to make. Their RB's are their leading receivers right now.

Work for it? They are working us...if not for a few penalties they are manhandling our line, our linebackers are no where to be found and the corners are missing tackles
 


Can't continue to let backs coming out on pass routes go totally uncovered.

Northwestern is tearing apart the defensive scheme. Three 3rd-and-longs given up (technically, 2, but the other led to 4th and an easy short), and the defense seems like they're lost to stop what Northwestern is throwing at them. D needs to step up to be able to win this game.

Think next year they can revoke about 5,000 seats from the student section and offer to general public....4-1 team coming off huge win at Michigan and this is the student support? Disgrace

I mean, that was 16 play drive in 7 minutes. I would say we made them work hard...
 

Hope Claeys doesn't wait till half time to make that adjustment

I agree. Very bad series for our defense. Had the chance for the turnover and didn't recover. Other than that they just marched down the field on us. Need to make some adjustments and hopefully we'll be fine.

Don't guard screen passes...don't guard QB runs...give up every 3rd-and-long...
feels like it's a Mason-coached D, so far.
 

I woke up just in time to join the game after we scored the first 7 points. From what i've seen though, i'm nervous. They seem to be able to move the ball at will thus far, and our defense is going to get tired awfully quick if NW has many more drives like the last one. The fumble we couldn't come up hopefully wont come back to haunt us/be a turning point.

Not too worried. How many third and longs did we have them in?
