*** OFFICIAL GOPHERS/LEATHERNECKS IN-GAME THREAD ***

Our student section is embarassing...why don't they cut the number of student tickets so we don't have half the upper deck empty

For most games those seats wouldn't be sold even if they were taken out of the student allotment.

Maxx Williams has got to be featured in the back shoulder throw. This is the first player who gets the ball that can make in air adjustments since Decker. He keeps developing and adds another 10-15 pounds there is no doubt he will play on Sundays.

If your students are not going to come...give the tickets to youth football teams, would rather the stadium be filled.

Now THAT's a good idea! Bonus - the youth (hopefully) get excited about Gopher football, which translates into bigger fan base, and possibly easier area recruitment.

No doubt about it.

Cobb is contending to start.

He sees the field. Williams simply doesn't.

Let me ask a really stupid question. Why doesn't Kill have a dog? They have them that can sense (smell, i guess) a seizure before it happens. This would at least get him away from the team and the fans.

I like the part where this might actually have been intended to be serious.

Why don't they stop putting performances like this up against D league teams and give students a reason to come out?

Do you really think the rest of the upper bowl is any more full than the student section? At least the students are making noise.

The student section from this year is lightyears ahead of what the student section was like 2 years ago. At least this year the lower bowl is just about full. There are things to complain about, for sure. But the student section really isn't one of them.

Edit: realized I quoted the wrong person. Far too lazy to find the right post.

Williams is just more limited. Even if he sees an opportunity outside he doesn't have the quickness to beat defenders there. He's a good situational runner to change things up a bit.

Good idea, but the problem is that Saturday is when the youth teams usually have their own games.

look guys. i'm just going to go out and say that although i'm not pleased with our performance to this point, i knew it would happen at some point. every team has a game they just arent into and/or ready to play. but the simplest thing is, you can't lose those games. if we hang on and win this, how it happened is irrelevant. it doesn't change how the team will play one week from now or at the end of the season. at least we know now that this team can respond when sh!t is getting bad for them. we're not that far removed from having teams that would implode in this situation and lose a game like this down the stretch. just wanted to throw in my 2 cents on this whole thing and give some perspective for some who think the sky is falling

Meanwhile, another vertical route where our CB doesn't even turn around to play the ball.

Stop being reasonable. Im off to the Michigan site to call for Hoke's head....only up four over Akron (worse/equal to Western Illinois) in the fourth. Unacceptable!

+1. Two years ago we lose this game. The players have reacted well to a lot of adversity today.

Yea our DBs are dangerously close on a lot of these coverages from PI calls. Need to have better ball awareness.
