We've scored 22 straight...
UCLA has scored 28 unanswered on the Huskers. They're up 31-21.
Meanwhile, another vertical route where our CB doesn't even turn around to play the ball.
Just want to say thanks for this. The level-headedness is a very nice breath of fresh air around here.
I have no idea who said it, but I love it: "Don't get too high when you're high; don't get too low when you're low".
It's amazing to me that in the 1st half when we were struggling GopherHolers were in constant bitch mode with negative after negative, complaint after complaint so fast that I could not keep up. Now that we have things under control, the board is pretty quiet. That tells me all I need to know about the negativism here.

It wasn't pretty but, all things considering (Kill and Nelson out), I'll take the win.
- Hageman continues to be a beast. He absolutely blew up the OL multiple times. The sack without he helmet was a thing of beauty.
- Jones needs to field the punts, plain and simple. That's a huge difference in field position when the ball hits the ground.
- Maxx Williams is very good.
- Only two penalties again. I think it is becoming a trend.
- Leidner looks more confident passing the ball than Nelson in my opinion. I know it was only one game but that is my observation so far.
Leidner did look good, but I felt like they opened up the playbook a bit more for him. This was also against Western Illinois. Again though, he did look good, and it'll be interesting to see how the coaching staff deals with it going forward.
It did? I felt like they stuck pretty close to the same game plan. But I'm pretty weak recognizing my Xs an Os.
- I have a feeling that's going to be his go-to highlight play. It's just so indicative of the kind of player he is
- I wonder if that's why KJ Maye was fielding the punt toward the end of the game? Maybe the coaches are thinking Jones needs to start catching the kicks and are letting him know that he's not a guaranteed starter.
- I love Maxx. It's so huge to have a great TE in an offense like this.
- Smart football wins games. We'll see how we do once we're matched up against similar athletes, but this is a VERY good sign.
The throw down the seam to Maxx is an example I can think of.
That doesn't necessarily mean the game plan was different, just that he was open or the QB saw him this time.
