*** OFFICIAL GOPHERS/LEATHERNECKS IN-GAME THREAD ***

Wow, badly misplayed by Murray on that TD catch...

Team had zero interest in playing today.

We have a frosh QB getting his first time, and he's fielding snaps nonchalantly with one hand.

So Western's smaller WR just outjumped and outfought our taller DB for that TD pass.

It was a great decision to punt on 4th and 2 there. It's awful to think that you have no confidence that you can get 2 yards against an FCS school. It's worse to think you can't do it at a point in the game that it matters. It's even worse when you do it with possibly the worst current punter in NCAA football. And it's even worser/worsest when on the very next play you give up a 65 yard pass.

Did Leidner not have a wide open TD there to the left?

Leidner was down before the fumble...

wow, so that just happened. Kill's staff does NOT know how to beat FCS teams, that much is obvious.

Similar to how Cobb had an easy first down on a screen pass in the 1st Q but chose to cross the field right into the defense. These guys are showing little ability to see the play as it's happening.

I haven't seen Cedric Thompson at all today. Anyone know what that's about?

Wish I was on a plane now. At least I'd have a barf bag handy.
To run a read-option offense, don't you need some running threats?

Our DB's are not looking for the ball soon enough.

Our student section is embarassing...why don't they cut the number of student tickets so we don't have half the upper deck empty

Well, at least not when coaching a BCS team. He was pretty good at beating other FCS teams when he coached an FCS team, lol. Seriously though, this is absolutely pathetic. Our favorite team is not very good. Sad face.

Nice punt. Not as bad as my hs buddy though. He wiffed once in hs.

They need to learn to read the QB instead of just turning their back and trailing the receivers. The latter is recipe for either giving up catches because you can't see the ball coming; or lots of interference penalties on receiver adjustments.
