***OFFICIAL GOLD VS MAROON MINNESOTA GOPHERS SPRING GAME IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

I would love to see Bryce Williams explode/get more opportunities. IIRC he has had the extra gear speed but his shake and bake factor wasn’t quite there in his limited time. Rooting for him .

Kicking is the Achiles Heel.

  • Lindenberg is all over the field. Can't imagine he's not getting a TON of playing time at LB this fall.
  • Brady Boyd will rep at WR this year. Looks like he's living up to that HS film. A really fluid athlete and I've seen him make a couple nice blocks in the running game as well.
  • Man, Pinckney is a load inside. He's very tough to block, separates well...slippery.
  • I feel a lot better about the WR corp than I did at the end of the season. Jackson looks like he's taken a nice step forward, CrAB looks like a legit #1, Boyd interesting...waiting to see Wright.
  • The trick play bag is very deep lol...

Well put.

I dont remember a Gopher offense that could be as stacked, yes even when TJ Bate and Cab were our starters.

We could break some records.

You're right, Id like to see wright, but boyd is making a case for serious reps

Tyler Johnson is not visiting today?

man, the ONE thing i dont like about morgan. Under throws open deep receivers. jackson had a foot on coverage and had to stop

ummm...batterd balls. that happened more than what i wanted to Morgan last year been a couple so far today

We are going to see lots of rotation at Linebacker. This will be a big deal down the stretch.

Thank you all for the commentary - I appreciate it!

Despite that phantom sniper shot drop Morgan has all the intangibles, touch, accuracy on the move. He’s a guy I want on a game winning drive.

That pass down the middle into coverage was incredible.

That was an NFL throw on 3rd and long by Morgan. He had a wide open receiver 5 yards short of the sticks, but he stepped up in the pocket and threw an absolute dime to CrAB on the crosser, literally inches over the reach of Oliver and about 2 yards in front of the safety.

Nice cavalier gesture to have Sam Pickerign in for a snap.

Annexsted seems to believe it is an open competition

ZA still throwing off the back foot- don’t like his development from that perspective

Annexstad is definitely close to Morgan, but I don't think he showed anything today that would win the position outright. I think if he hadn't hurt his foot in 2019 we would be in a different spot, but the extra playing season has definitely helped Morgan keep the lead.

Agree. Still think back to the Whisky game when Williams showed that extra gear.

ZA looks good: bigger, stronger, faster and had several really nice throws but not sure anything happened today to shake up the world order. The coaches see these guys every day and TM2s body of in game work is hard to argue with. Time will tell.
