Yeah I have questions … but for now I will just be excited.Moss has a truly bizarre offer list for his rating.
He was injured all of his SO season (2020) so his huge 2021 season kind of came out of nowhere.Yeah I have questions … but for now I will just be excited.
Great answer! Fleck and crew, I'm sure have been extremely busy this weekend. I'll take the recruiting news and his time with the recruits at this point of the game. They are still on Covid protocol.
So it’s someone with a lot of ‘I’s’ and ‘t’s’ in their name? Hmmm….There will be more good news to come. They are dotting the "I"s and crossing the "T"s.
Patience. The ones with options take multiple visitsI'm always happy to see the new guys and have them come to the U. I don't know though, our recruiting just seems a little blah. I thought by year 6, Fleck would be bringing in some more big timers than we currently do.
I doubt that, but it’s becoming much less relevant with free transfers. I still like the class so far, I like the emphasis on local guys, I think they are less likely to transfer early.Patience. The ones with options take multiple visits
If they get DE Howard and Williams,
DT Gadson or Davis
RB M. Williams
WR two of A. Brown, Manning and Cooley
TE Ortwerth
CB Moss or Fleming
S Brown
LB Newsome, Chambliss or McIntyre
OL Daniels
Which are all still possible, they will have a top 25 class and multiple 4 stars. Most top guys will wait until after the 6/24 visits.
The HS ratings are just that. The proof will come in practice and competition.I know we are all drooling over Moss’s four star rating, but I really think Zaquan Bryan could be just as good. Similar to Walley and Dickerson.
Have to agree to disagree on this one. Not blah at all unless you know the results 5 years from now.I'm always happy to see the new guys and have them come to the U. I don't know though, our recruiting just seems a little blah. I thought by year 6, Fleck would be bringing in some more big timers than we currently do.
I take it that the June 17 Nebraska Official Visit is off.
If you look at avg recruits star rating it's still bottom half of the B1G.....Look at the 247 ratings now. Looking good!
The best Fleck has finished is 7th, been bottom half every other year.If you look at avg recruits star rating it's still bottom half of the B1G.....
247 has us ranked high because we have more commits than others...
I will start worrying about the AVG star ranking when someone can definitely prove that a class average of 88.xx is significantly better than a class average of 85.xx somewhere other than just on recruiting websites. If you look at avg recruits star rating it's still bottom half of the B1G.....

Not arguing against that . However come Feb will it still look as good when we're sitting 45th in the nation vs the 12th as we currently are...I will start worrying about the AVG star ranking when someone can definitely prove that a class average of 88.xx is significantly better than a class average of 85.xx somewhere other than just on recruiting websites.
Are we bringing in players on par with the majority of the conference and are we bringing in guys that can play in the Big Ten? Those are the only things that matter
Probably zero to do with Trey Lance. I do think the free transfers and NIL are having an affect on the recruiting strategy.Wonder how much of this instate recruiting has to do with missing out on Trey Lance? Seems like we don't want to let any instate athletes get away this year.
That would really make you feel better? I think you’re giving the recruiting sites way too much credit with the accuracy of their evaluations. Not arguing against that . However come Feb will it still look as good when we're sitting 45th in the nation vs the 12th as we currently are...
I have 0 qualms with this class... However I wouldn't mind seeing our lowest rated recruits in that .85 area... And not around .83...
PJ’s win average don’t reflect these poor 247 ratings. Either they are better than they are rated by these sites or he’s a better coach than given credit for.The best Fleck has finished is 7th, been bottom half every other year.
There is also way more to acquiring talent than recruiting rankings. Things like attrition (for the people you want to keep), fit, and now the portal really matter.PJ’s win average don’t reflect these poor 247 ratings. If you like the recruits we are signing now, why would you like them any less if when it is all said and done our class is ranked in the 40's?Not arguing against that . However come Feb will it still look as good when we're sitting 45th in the nation vs the 12th as we currently are...

Good point. The portal is so huge. A four maybe even a five star linebacker probably doesn’t have an immediate impact like Jack Gibbens did, who was probably like a 2 star out of high school. There is also way more to acquiring talent than recruiting rankings. Could be both: MN HS players largely underrated AND PJ is an above average coach,PJ’s win average don’t reflect these poor 247 ratings. Either they are better than they are rated by these sites or he’s a better coach than given credit for
I tend to agree with the underrated comment in regards to instate recruits! If they were in Texas, Florida, Georgia, or some other football hotbed, their ratings probably are quite a bit higher!Could be both: MN HS players largely underrated AND PJ is an above average coach,
