At 6'5, he definitely doesn't look like anything below 270 or so. 295 might be pushing it, but he's definitely a big, stout kid.
 

I'm not really sure why we are offering so many JUCO D-lineman. We played 4 freshman last year, so we'll already have 4 juniors in 2016 and a JUCO would make it 5.

They've made a habit of targeting JUCO's with 3 years of eligibility so that may be the case here

Maybe because Peppers, Hinojosa and Salzwedel all transferred plus Timms isn't expected to contribute.

I researched it a little, and I'm not 100% positive, but fairly confident that he will only have 2 years of eligibility remaining after this fall.

I love how the USF picture is essentially the ol' "push the guy over your buddy who is hiding behind his legs" trick and the U pic is nice shot of TCF Bank Stadium.

Those guys all transferred a year ago. It would have made more sense to have a JUCO in the 2015 class that would be a junior this upcoming year.

May be an indication that they aren't as high on some of the guys as we would hope.

Welcome aboard Tony! I just want to point out that the black and yellow school to the south only has 4 commitments compared to our 9. To this point they have verbals from three players who are 3-stars and one player rated zero stars. Who hates Iowa?!?!

Minor correction, no one is rated zero stars. It means that he hasn't been evaluated yet.

I like this. Anybody got any info on Smiley? Weird to see a 2 star (on 247) have offers from Louisville, Wisconsin, and USF as well as us this early in the cycle imo.
 





We were the last school to offer Jeremiah Moon and make his top four less than two weeks later. If we can get him on campus I like like our chances. I did use the biggest two letter word but when multiple SEC teams, have been working on him for months, we walk in and quickly make his top four, there's something there.

That is awfully interesting. Not going to get my hopes up though.
 

I can't imagine the Gophers not being given a second look by top tier recruits if by chance they upset TCU, and beat CSU.

Would be an unbelievable get if somehow he were to come up here. The staff has done a nice job recently of bringing talent up north from Alabama. Let's hope they can again

I can't find specifics but the schools that have come up the most are Auburn, Miss St, and S Carolina. Note: Crystal Ball is 90% Bama though they haven't offered.

It wouldn't surprise me if the kid has a family member or coach with some connection to our coaching staff or possibly a player (e.g., a cousin on the team). It would be extremely impressive if we got the kid with just good old fashion we out recruited the others.
 

Lansing State Journal: Tony Poljan finds opportunity as QB at Minnesota

Playing quarterback was the biggest factor for the 6-foot-7 Poljan, who was receiving interest from other major football programs as an athlete. He coveted that opportunity more than playing basketball in college.

“(Minnesota) just said we see you playing quarterback here and we think that you could majorly benefit our team at quarterback,” Poljan said. “At the end of the day, they can’t guarantee that I’m going to be a quarterback, but all that they can really give me is a chance to compete for the spot. That’s what I want.”

And now Poljan is looking forward to being a part of a Minnesota program that’s had back-to-back seasons with eight wins and reached three straight bowl games under Kill.

“I know Minnesota is on the up and up,” Poljan said. “Coach Kill and his whole coaching staff are really great people and I can see how they turned the program around. I want to be a part of that.”
