What are the chances of Drayton and Jarvis Johnson being a package deal? :cool02:
That is assuming the football players associate with the basketball players at De La Salle.

burns is quoting edgytim from illinois who says we may have a couple of illinois kids interested in committing soon. they have directional offers in addition to us.

I know the Mankato situation is dominating the headlines, but I thought I would post some good news about Minnesota Preps.

Some nice offers went out yesterday and this past week. Chaska OL Bronson Dovich (6'5 285) picked up a BCS offer from Rutgers. White Bear Lake DL Connor Hobbs (6'3 265) picked up an offer from Wyoming. Prior Lake LB Alex Hart (6'3 220) picked up an offer from Wyoming last week. Andover TE Sam Steckman (6'3 225) picked up an offer from North Dakota.

Not used to seeing Wyoming recruiting the Minnesota area that much, but it makes complete sense now that the old NDSU staff is there.

Per Ryan Burns, "Galena Park (Texas) North Shore offensive lineman Tyler Moore picked up his first Big Ten offer yesterday from Minnesota."

Anyone can see that it is destiny that this young man comes to the Twin Cities. Make us all merry, Tyler Moore, and play for Minnesota!!!

Looks like we are hitting the state of Texas hard. Good. There is such a fricken motherload of football talent down there it's just about ridiculous.

Carlberg is becoming this year's Ragnow. Frank loved Kill too but in the end it didn't matter. The difference here might be that Carlberg's family is supposedly Gopher fans and I think he is too.

Burns says well only take 1 RB this class.
 

I'd be pretty happy with either one. I think both are special and it sounds like we will be able to get at least one of the two.

Burns is always spot on, but I'd be shocked if we wouldn't take both Cole and Kelly if possible since Kelly could end up as a safety. I realize we are recruiting him as a RB, but we also recruited D. Jones as a QB.

Kelly can also play WR i think.
 

I'm not doubting anybody at all, but how does Burns know how many RB's we will take? I understand he is knowledgeable and can make his best guess. But has he communicated wight he coaches? Or is he just assuming due to our depth with young running backs? I think he does great work, I am just wondering why he said that we will take just one.

I agree that if both wanted to commit I would imagine the coaches would take both. Just passing along info.

He said he's hearing that they only want to take one. Not sure where the info comes from but he isn't just guessing.
