Official 2015 Recruiting Updates Thread: Links, Tweets, Videos, Stories, Rumors, etc.

we should remove this thread i dont care where he goes now... if a kid doesnt want to play for us we don't need to pay him any attention

This is the 2015 class recruiting thread, isn't it? Do we not talk about the whole class for a year?

Wow. I totally thought the FB board would be freaking out and calling him names for not having the Gophers on his list. He didn't even have the Tyus Jones courtesy inclusion either...that's a bummer. You guys are taking it much better it seems than what the BB Board would if this was a big time basketball recruit.

I think it's easier to overcome a disappointment when your recruiting class is 20-30 kids as opposed to 2-4.

We can talk about him if we want to. This forum is not just about the gophers, it is about all of college football.

i hope he fails miserably... here is the difference between people from minnesota compared to everywhere else. when a kid ditches us for a rival team we let him walk back into our state ho hum, like no big deal. if that happened anywhere else that kid would get booed and verbally assaulted relentlessly.. nobody wants to be hated but guess what they should be and maybe it would make em think twice about selling out.. we are too accepting of kids thinking they are too good for us.. thats why the jeff jones' kids of the world deserve that much more praise when they finally don the "M" and dominate.

If I'm reading this correctly, adults should "verbal assault" a 17 or 18 year old kid for deciding to attend school (and play football) out of state? And, we should do it because idiots in other states do it to 17 or 18 year old kids there?

I really hope after some more thought you change your mind. If a kid decides to go out of state then come back here to live, good for them and for us. Especially if he is a productive citizen and engaged in the community like many former athletes.

You're right about one thing. Jeff Jones does deserve our praise. Staying home to play is a great thing, but "verbally abusing" anyone for doing what they think is right for them is childish at best.

Are you and your dick in a contest to prove who can be the most disappointing?

The football posters, on average, are leagues more realistic than the basketball posters, both about recruiting and the on-field/court performance of the teams.

Also in basketball one or two recruits can change a program, football you need one or two classes to do that. The impact of a star on a program is way more noticeable in hoops than in football.

Plus infinity Zero ****s should be given about non gophers

Way to stay classy.

says the guy who just commented on another man's d!ck. relax and keep it to recruiting folks. I'll put a little more stock in Cornell's list once he himself actually releases one. We'll see if we made the cut when it arises.

I commented on a "man" who "committed" his comment on a kid who has yet to make a commitment.

Excellent post WarriorGopher. It's one thing to be disappointed and another to go off on a kid in the midst of a difficult decision that may be the biggest decision of his life. It would be great if we landed Cornell, but if we don't, I certainly don't wish him any ill.

verbally assault.. probly harsh choice of words but he should hear it every time he comes back.. he should be booed and he should be heckled especially if he chooses another big ten school... i said verbally assault but i was using it in more of a heckling context.. two different things

Doesn't matter. Your still an idiot. Get over your homerism, in case you forgot their are plenty of kids on the Gopher football team who are not from Minnesota.

Not everyone is GopherDieHard.

Any info on a recruit named Mildahl and one named comeaux???

You mean short like Percy Harvin, Desean Jackson, Steve Smith, or Wes Welker?

Don't get me wrong, I have no idea if this kid will amount to anything, but being 5'11" doesn't preclude you from making it in college or the NFL.

+1 Only on the GopherHole does it preclude you from making it in college or the NFL.

The first bold phrase makes me laugh every time. The second is just icing on the cake. Thank you for the chuckle.

Lol I'm guess I was just used to seeing 6'2", 6"3, and 6'4" next to the recievers they added this year.
