Official 2014 Seat Renewals, Relocations and New Season Ticket Holders Thread

Just an update for those interested-I'm in Zone 3 and received the call this evening. I'm happy with my current tickets in 209 but did want to see if I could go from Oak Street to a tailgate lot. I'm so happy to say we will be joining the fun and Gopher merriment in Lot 37 this year--so excited!! The Gopher sports person said there were only a few spots remaining at this time. Look forward to enjoying the tailgating atmosphere, even with the updated process, I can't wait! Go Gophers!

Nice! Thanks for sharing!

One day, I hope to get into the tailgate lots. But, buying 6 tickets I already have + the additional $1k donation puts a strain on the pocket book a little. Oh well, hopefully I can join sooner rather than later. Enjoy!

I don't know from experience, but doesn't your donation toward seats also work toward a lot price? I thought if you donated $1k, that $1k could be used toward a tailgate season pass. Or am I mistaken?

Correct. If you have 4 seats and pay $250 extra per seat you get the green light to get into an available $1,000 donation lot.

Unfortunately, my 6 season tickets together are not donation tickets. :(

Well, Zone 3 has completed and Zone 4 is beginning. From the looks of things, ALL the open End Zone sections are now full and two sections near the student section are full as well. Sidelines are beginning to fill up as well. Good luck to others still waiting for the upgrade process, like myself! :)

E Bigelow, where are you hoping to upgrade to? I am trying to add 2 more tickets (from 2 to 4) and move from 103 to a section or two closer to 10 yard line. Are you in Zone 4?

Sadly, no. I am in Zone 8. I have had my tickets since I was a student and graduated in '08, so I have had my season tickets in some fashion for about 11-12 years. We are in 103 as well. Been there since the stadium opened. Started with just two tickets in 103 and have slowly worked up to 6 tickets. We have 5 in row 13 that are consecutive and one in row 12. Trying to get all 6 consecutive as we usually have a group of 4-6 every game and it is so nice to be able to all sit together.

Also, I am hesitant to move as we really enjoy the groups of people who sit in front of and behind us. All very nice people. I am also somewhat hesitant to move out of the lower bowl as it is very hard to get that many consecutive any where else in the stadium, outside of going higher up.

The people that usually attend with me have been debating about all of us pitching in to get the $1,000 donation level in order to try to get into the lots near the stadium for tailgating as currently we have a Washington Ave. Ramp Pass and ultimately, that is our goal. Eventually.

E.bigelow, you and your crew are more than welcome to join us in our new Lot 37 spot any time! Best of luck to you and other Gopher diehards in the upgrade process.

I will keep that in mind, go4rx! Thanks! :)

What about the rest of us?

Got our call today for Zone 4. We wanted to move the 4 seats total we have to a different location and together (have two pairs in different sections altogether) but there wasn't any available together (back-to-back or in a row). So we will just simply keep our current locations for now. Hopefully by next year we move up.

We found that getting into donation seats REALLY help boost our standing when it comes to upgrades. Last year we were in Zone 7 or 8. This year we were in Zone 4 (with only a handful of people in front of us, I guess).

I got the call today and I'm in zone 5. I too have four seats and like you have two pairs in different locations. I was also unable to get them together but don't really mind since I believe two of my seats are the best in the stadium and the other two are better than at least 95% of the seats. Out of greed I will also keep trying to improve them but doubt it will ever happen but that's OK since I already have great seats. Now that I know my place, I can concentrate on the upcoming season :)

Go Gophers!

Zone 4 is finished and Zone 5 is in progress. Below is the updated map as of last night, I assume. Almost all sections along the Home & Visitors sides in the lower bowl are "blacked out". Best of luck to anyone still in the upgrade process, like myself!

Thank you Mr.Bigelow and a question.

Looking at the map it's got the Visitors in the "Upper-Uppers" of Sections 201-206. Never noticed them in 215-218. Did that start last year or was it expanded? Or did they take some seats from 201-206 and moved them? Like splitting them up and putting them sky-high too? :D

It's always been that way.

Thanks to you and Dpodoll, obviously didn't know that.

The 215-218 doesn't seem to generate a lot of boos/cheers.

Well, there is an updated map put up at 3:30 yesterday. The visitors sideline (goaline to goaline) is "blacked out" (assuming this means no side by side seats remaining) in the lower bowl before the Home side. Does this end the debate as to which "side" is better?

I highly doubt it. But, just thought I'd share that. :)

Thank you for sharing the updated map, e.bigelow. Is it posted on the Gopher Athletics site (couldn't find it)?

FWIW the guy at the ticket office that we talked to about upgrades said renewals came in at ninety some percent.
