Official 2014 Recruiting Updates Thread: Links, Tweets, Videos, Stories, Rumors, etc.

Sorry but I agree. It's a 2014 recruiting update thread, and when I see new posts in it that's what I expect. When that's not the case it can get frustrating. Maybe others feel the same, or maybe not. Just my two cents.

Fair enough

Ragnow is visiting today and Stelter is tomorrow. Sounds like we're in very good shape to land both.

@gopherhole: We just got word that Chanhassen OT Frank Ragnow (@KNARFWONGAR) is visiting Coach Kill & #Gophers today!!!

Go Gophers!!

Two new offers went out to Minnesota Preps this past weekend. NDSU offered both Marshall OL/DL Tyus DeBoer (6'5 265) and Spring Lake Park RB/LB Eji Ejiwa (6'2 185). We are up to 22 rising seniors in the state with BCS/FBS/FCS offers. Will be updating the top player list later this week.

The U has been in contact with both. I don't see offers happening soon if at all. Staff has seen them multiple times and had plenty of opportunities to early offer. Maybe pwo.

A lot of that depends upon how their SR seasons play out and how recruiting goes. These two would probably accept a scholarship from the U tomorrow. So if we are recruiting guys who we rank higher, we wouldn't offer these kids those spots.

A bunch of our local guys didn't get offered until later.

Something I just noticed (using Rivals ratings/offer lists):

Jeff Jones is rated 5.9 and has offers from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan St., Iowa, Kentucky, Syracuse, Iowa St., and Illinois.

Gaelin Elmore is rated 5.7 and has offers from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Michigan St., Iowa St., and Indiana.

Dimonic McKinzy is rated 5.6 and has offers from Minnesota, Nebraska, Kansas, and Iowa.

Connor Mayes is rated 5.6 and has offers from Minnesota, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, TCU, Baylor, Texas Tech, Kansas St., Colorado, UConn, Kansas, Duke, and Washington St.

Everybody knows that the recruiting services only look at offers when rating players.

Interesting. I can't believe I am going to say this but where is the Western Michigan offers? That has to be the longest running gag at the GopherHole.:horse:

Still trolling with this bit?

Hand/electric timed 40s and Wisconsin cooling on people are longer running and equally "dead horse beating"

So did he sign or...?

We are up to 23 D1 offers for the Class of 2014 in the state. Most recent D1 offer went out to Hibbing WR Deion Harris (6'3 175) from North Dakota. Only 4 in the state have picked up Gopher offers. It will be interesting to see if we have some late offers like Anwanyu and Lauer in 2012. I can imagine that most of the players will pick up PWO offers, but we shall see. If I am missing anyone, please let me know.

Love it. Hopefully Elmore and Mayes continue talking to him to keep him committed.

A commit from Ragnow would help also. Knowing the O line will be solid has got to help with the recruiting of running backs.

Definitely....this O-line is getting deep with talent. I read that Jones was really happy about the Mayes commit.

D'Vonta Derricott

Just searched everybody who has "High" interest in the Gophers on Rivals, and came across this JUCO LB. Has really good offers, and the Gophers are one of five schools to be listed as "High" interest. I guess I haven't seen him come up on this thread yet.

http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/footba...cott-148513;_ylt=AnM7fgS1..rJ8eaJkbpI2n9IPZB4

Judging on offers alone, he seems like he would be a good get.
