#Minnesota HC Jerry Kill will be doing an in-home visit with Florida RB Raphael Webb (@ShoouuuAtMe) tonight. Webb visited last weekend.

Indiana TE Nate Wozniak tells me he'll decide between #Minnesota and #MiamiFL in the next week. He visited the Gophers this past weekend.
 

My take on Wozniak's comments- he was ready to commit this weekend to the Gophers but didn't want to get caught up in the moment and wanted to sleep on it first. He will pick the Gophers IMO.
 

For two of the last spots, I would love Jones and Wozniak. Wozniak is huge, but he is so lean, I think he can play tight end - better capable of catching the ball initially; I think blocking D1 ends and linebackers will be a bigger adjustment.

What are the chances that the Gophers will get lucky and get a top player the last minute over signing shuffle? They have five remaining slots? Why not hold off one of those slots open?

Webb mentioned that an announcement will come sometime in the 7 days. Vandy may offer tomorrow and he'd visit this next weekend if offered.
 



GI reports that Wozniak is only talking to schools that want him as a TE and that is what Kill is doing. Jones is being recruited as QB which is what he wants to play but doesn't seem as firm about it. Mizzou was recruiting Jones as a WR.

Smart by MN and Miami, tell the kid what he wants to hear and then see how it shakes out once he gets here. Just because you tell him now he will get a shot at TE doesn't mean he will stay there if he can't cut it once he gets here. Happens all the time, kind of surprised other places would elminate themselves though maybe they are concerned he will be an attitude problem if forced to switch positions.

The TE is almost like another OL in Kill's offense. Therefore, this might be the perfect situation for a guy like him. Take advantage of his blocking skills, yet allow him to catch a few passes here and there.

Louisiana LB Duke Riley tells me that #Minnesota is "definitely" still in the picture after visiting with Gopher coaches last night.

I have no confidence in Spearman or Riley becoming gophers.

I have been plenty vocal in my concerns about Kill's recruiting ability. However if the staff manages to pull a Louisiana kid with an LSU offer I would be very impressed. I would say smart money is on him going to LSU but pretty shocking to even be in the top 3 all things considered.

It would be a no-brainer for him to go to LSU if it were a regular offer, but it's a grayshirt offer, which complicates things and keeps the other schools in play. If he wants to move on with his athletic career immediately, that obviously eliminates the LSU offer from consideration. It depends what his priorities are.

Spearman gave his verbal to Illinois and enjoyed his visit to Iowa City last weekend (although not sure how that hole Iowa City is enjoyable). I bet he stay home at Illinois.

He's been an Illinois verbal for a long time. I do think he enjoyed Iowa a lot though and think those two are ahead of us. The Iowa fans are all over his twitter account like flies on poop.

I once heard an interview with Lou Holtz where he stated he always looked hard at HS QB's because they were nearly always the most talented kid on the team. Especially at smaller schools.
