Official 2013 Class Recruiting Updates Thread

Rhoda, Roundtree, Wright, Conway, Hart...anyone know who the 6th PWO is?

Borchardt from Wayzata is another one. Are you sure Conway accepted his pwo yet? I figured the sixth was between Conway and Fahning

Oh yeah forgot Borchardt, I think I was mistaken on Conway.

Rosemountain probably knows a bit about this kid. He follows that area pretty well (Eagan, Rosemount, Lakevilles, etc.).

He looks talented and he loves the U. What's not to like?

Breaking: Gainesville RB Raphael Webb will not visit #USF. Instead will visit #Minnesota.

Rivals has him as a three star now. If I am remembering correctly he was a two star the last time I looked...

I can't seem to find much of a discussion on him here, but does anyone know what position we are looking at with Nate Wozniak. He's enormous 6'9"-6'10" / 245 lbs.

He currently plays TE and catches the ball pretty well (might be a nice redzone target), but I've seen him referred to as an OT recruit as well.

Probably depends on how much more they think he will grow and how much weight they feel his frame can carry. Not unheard of to play TE at that size, Spaeth was like 6'7"-6'8" but he would have to be pretty athletic. 245 on a 6'10" frame isn't all that much weight, at that height would think he would be looked at more as an o-line project but who knows. Don't know anyting about him but most 6'10" seem to play basketball over football.

Then there's the people who rave about "Murderapolis", as if Minneapolis was incredibly dangerous. In 2009, Minneapolis topped Forbes Magazine's list of safest cities in the country.

TE. It's down to us and Miami, FL

He was a 2 star, 5.4, when I checked yesterday.

That was yesterday. It is called the "Minnesota effect". Once they knew that Raphael Webb was coming to Minnesota for a visit on the 25th they upgraded him to a 3-star player.

The GI guys were saying that Webb's twitter comments made it sound like he really didn't enjoy his BC visit, I couldn't figure out what his handle was though. But if he only is visiting us, BC, and FAU, and he didn't like BC, well I have to think we'll have an excellent chance.

Pops is assistant at Eagan High School. Not a major factor in high school. Zach Zenner, Jameson Parsons, Matt Hentges, and Adam Carl were bigger stars. That said, he did dress on the varsity as a freshman.

Louisiana LB Duke Riley (@1Goal1Dream) tells me that he'll be making his decision sometime next week, not this upcoming weekend.

Riley also mentioned to me that #Minnesota holds the title of the best official visit that he's been on so far. More to come on GI.

Webb's teammate, Tony James is a 2014 rb and has offers from FL, FSU, Miami, OSU, and UCLA already.

For me, Riley would be a MAJOR coup. Not a huge kid, but super physical and a leader on one of the best teams in the country. If we can get Riley, keep Andrews, and get another receiver (assuming we can keep everyone else), I'll be very happy.

just saw on Riley's twitter that Les Miles was in the house (Riley posted a picture of the two of them). Again, would be a big get for us.

Miami FL just got the top JUCO TE in Beau Sandland. Does he have a commitable offer there even.
Miami is recruiting him as an OT. I think we're recruiting him as a Y, which is essentially a 6th offensive lineman in our scheme.
