NIT Game #1: #1 Gophers vs. #8 High Point [ESPN3, 7:15PM]

If King starts next year, we've had a terrible recruiting class.

It's likely he starts. We can only hope that Josh Martin is ready to take his place by the time the conference season starts. That's a tall order to ask of a freshmen though.

Likely? Why? Buggs could easily beat him out if Martin doesn't. Not to mention we still have 3 open scholarships.

It's mocking him. I'm not naive. Malik's two-part season aside, Mav would've been a nice role player this year if he had gotten the chance. He was last year.

Mav doesn't have the ball handling and decision making necessary to be a regular rotation guy in the Big Ten.*

*That isn't an endorsement of Malik.

I remember Mav being a PG who could not dribble.

Sounds like Mathieu will be out the next game. It won't be easy (if we even win tonight).

How and the hell has that been determined b ANYONE while there are still 5 minutes in the game?

I'm really waiting to see what changes Joey makes to his body and his game in the offseason. If he makes the necessary improvements, I think he can be a really big piece for us. Ideally he should be coming off the bench next year.

Simply an educated guess. They already said we're playing Thursday or Friday. If he's hurt enough to not come back in, I doubt 48 hours is going to help.

Good Lord no one knows a thing about his availability for the next game.

King is fine offensively for his position. We will have both Dre's and Mo on offense already. We need King to work on rebounding and defense all off season.

This john brown kid is something else, he needs to transfer to a team that is up to his caliber

Only on Gopherhole can a guy be the second leading scorer in a game and get ripped. Just incredible.

That was a nice highlight play by them.

Anyhow, Mav has been a great 4 year program player. I'm sure if he had more time with Pitino, he would've had a greater role. Malik is Pitino's guy, and Pitino apparently believed he gave them a better shot.

Mav is having a heck of a game, but he keeps tripping and getting bailed out too.
