I hate to encourage a Lakes/NDSU thread but as usual he is very loose with the facts. Here are his statements in this thread.
NDSU can compete and beat U of Minn in any sport.
so far the evidence doesn't back up that statement. We've played four times in Mens basketball, all Gopher wins by an average of 18 points and those we're the best Bison teams of all time, NDSU is not beating the Gopher Volleyball team or the Wrestling team, period, not even worth discussing. So far you haven't come close in womens soccer to beating MN, and you don't have hockey but even if you did you would have no chance at either the men or womens teams. Mens Golf and Track are harder to judge head to head but end of season results speak for themselves.
I am IMPORTANT enough and have enough cred. to talk and speak the way I do.
this one speaks for itself, wow.
hmm NDSU was in sweet 16 for softball, NCAA's in volleyball, and Track & Field NDSU had the #2 800 womens runner in the nation, and qualified a couple others on men's and womens side.
We have a women golfer that would be #1 at Minnesota in Amy Anderson (women amatuer champ last year).
Former Gopher Wrestler KISH will help NDSU get more wrestlers to the NCAA's besides the 2 we had this year.
Beat you in baseball, soccer, softball, FOOTBALL, and womens basketball. So relax, NDSU isnt a D3 team.
NDSU has NOT beat Minn in soccer, played four times since 04 and Gophers have won 4-0,3-0,2-0, and 3-1. NDSU has been competitive in baseball, the series is 10-4, not so much in Softball, Gophers lead 5-1 with the loss a 1-0 decision, womens hoops is 4-1, ndsu did beat the ladies in a Fargo four years ago but also got crushed by a bad Gopher team this year 65-37.
And just go read the Bizon board to see just how big a fan of the Gopher lakes really is, complete bs. I guess I would also say the same thing to lakes about NDSU fans as he did in his little rant about gopher fans, alot more MN fans would cheer for you guys if so many of you didn't have such big mouths(of course led by lakes all over the internet) and huge ego's.
