Skin color, and little else.Based upon?
"steal"Way to steal the info from GI and not give them any credit or attribution for it. That's a bold move.
Walmart is global 1. NW Ark is nice. Beautiful lakes, etc.Not at all wrong.
But as has been said, NW Ark is not the deep south. It's like STL. Lot of money, probably a fair amount of transplants because of three Fortune 500 companies there, not to mention Walmart being top 5(?) and the University as well.
I’m probably alone on here but I’m not excited about hiring any of the names that have been thrown out in this thread. We need a newsworthy hire with headlines that catch the attention of recruits. I’m prepared for major disappointment and another 3-4 years of excuses for poor play while the new coach is establishing their “system”. Barring something hugely unexpected, this is most likely our reality.
YESPeople don't own rumors and information. The GI folks really need to get over that. People pay the premium to hear it FIRST or to have interactions with the people giving that information. They aren't paying for the info. Once it's out, it's out.
Could you imagine a newspaper being pissed because someone recapped an article to someone else?
They do for the very best of the best. IE, guys we'll never have a shot at.Coaching careers just don't work that neatly
Following"steal"
Yep, they invented and "own" the information .... that was gifted to them at no cost.
Piss. Off.
I actually kinda agree here (not on the "better" part, but the risk part). But if you're Coyle and sitting in the stands watching the lack of tactics and adjustments, he had to make a move (8 years remember). Looking at teams like UCSB last night also reminds everyone what is SO hard about building some depth and a decent bench. Gophers had ONE serviceable big man, and it took a darn near last minute xfer to achieve that. Coyle had to make this move. Now we wait to see who he gets.Firing Pitino entailed considerable risk. He's just as good or better coach than the replacement names being mentioned. I wish he had not underperformed this year as the team was looking good for next season.
It would appear that our candidates are more than likely out of the tournament then.
That would make a lot of senseShaka will likely be the next Marquette coach given his local roots.
But only if trying to profit off it themselves. Otherwise, there is no case. Just sillyYes, I could, if that someone tried to pass off that information as his own, rather than attributing it to the source.
Hopefully not. I need to see more than doing well a few times in a low-major conf.I don't think anyone here has mentioned Kelsey yet. Could this be one of the mystery candidates that have been teased?

Didn’t see him mentioned but the answer to your question would be “yes”.Chris Mack was mentioned. That would be a homerun hire. Never gonna happen, but it would be the type of hire you mentioned, yes?
Niko still in NIT and they don't play again until Thurs. It would appear that our candidates are more than likely out of the tournament then.

He didn't grow up in Milwaukee, he grew up near Madison. That would make a lot of sense
Wow, are you really this big a tool? The "info" doesn't belong to them.
Such a silly, silly concept.
"I did literally zero to earn the information that was given to me ... it was just given, for nothing. But now I'm going to pretend like I invented it and it's my property!"
To them: you're gifted a product and then you turn around and profit off it. F off
For being correct? Sure, bring itWow, are you really this big a tool?
I guess you are, then. For being correct? Sure, bring it
Horizon LeaugeGates' press conference is scheduled for Tuesday morning at 10.

Indeed, I am correct on this issue.I guess you are, then.
