I find it funny that Ruesse, one of the biggest Gopher trolls in the media, is being used as a legitimate source on Musselman.
He's a 50/50 guy. Half the time he's full of poop, and half the time he's onto something. Like I'd said, he was the first to report the Brewster firing.I find it funny that Ruesse, one of the biggest Gopher trolls in the media, is being used as a legitimate source on Musselman.
Kathy Irelandwhat are some names that would get u excited?
I could be wrong, but I don't think Reussee is much of an agent guy. He knew Bill pretty well it seems. Whoever his source is, I doubt it's Musselman's agent.Wondering if that's 1) pure speculation, 2) genuine knowledge of his interest, 3) some combination of 1 and 2, or 4) he's being played by his agent. Any of those are possible. I'm not going to buy or dismiss anything at this point. I do believe the chatter that he's Coyle's moon shot target because, well, why wouldn't he be?
It's not hard to tell when he's trolling. This isn't one of them. That said, I'd keep expectations in check. I'll be quite happy with Smith or Dutcher.I find it funny that Ruesse, one of the biggest Gopher trolls in the media, is being used as a legitimate source on Musselman.
If he's trolling with false claims of inside knowledge, that would be a new low, even for him. Is there a journalist in the country who would ever be suspected of that, much less capable of it?It's not hard to tell when he's trolling. This isn't one of them. Jerry Jones is also an alum and big donor to Fayetteville, though not sure if he does anything outside football (probably, just to lazy to Google it).I was told he would never come here. It is my hope that they are wrong and he does come here. May be wise to remember that we are not going to compete with Walton money if it comes to a bidding war . They will talk a large raise and a annuity like others have.
This is a great point. In almost 3 full seasons Craig Smith has the same winning percentage as Musselman had in 4 seasons in the MW, both overall and in conference. Niko Medved is about 20 percentage points below Smith in 3 years at Colorado St.
Huh?Reusse mentioned Musselman wanting to come "fix" his dad's legacy at the U
But not Medved, because he hasn't done anything at Colo St, right? That's perfectly fair.I'll be quite happy with Smith or Dutcher.
Didn't say that. But not Medved, because he hasn't done anything at Colo St, right? That's perfectly fair.
Just saying: there's still this year ....
Then what?Didn't say that.
Then nothing. I prefer Smith or Dutcher but Medved is a good hire too. Then what?
The fact that he left in scandal. Basically that he wants the Mussleman legacy at the U to be positive. Again just summarizing what Reusse said.Huh?
From 1971-75?
Ok. You didn't mention him, just the other two, so I assumed. Then nothing. I prefer Smith or Dutcher but Medved is a good hire too.
Oh. Didn't know there was a scandal. Lazy researching by me.The fact that he left in scandal. Basically that he wants the Mussleman legacy at the U to be positive. Again just summarizing what Reusse said.
Google Gopher basketball brawl...Ok. You didn't mention him, just the other two, so I assumed.

There were like 120 NCAA violations, but like 80 of them were letting the players use a car that some car dealer lent him. Every time one of the players drove it off campus, it was a new violation. Not giving the players cars, just having one they could use. I think the rest involved players selling their game tickets.Ok. You didn't mention him, just the other two, so I assumed.

On the other hand UNC had a fake major for 20 years and that's totally fine.
I heard Reusse talking about it and I don't remember his exact words, but he made it sound like someone connected to the U. My sense was a booster or someone around the program he knows, though not necessarily in the athletic department.I could be wrong, but I don't think Reussee is much of an agent guy. He tweeted more about Gates. It’s a YouTube video about Gate’s upbringing.
I don't subscribe, so if there's any hot poop that comes out of this...
A whole new level of responsibilities and management to run a D1 level program over a high school! The HS hot shot coach has to typically take some time learning the ropes as an assistant before just jumping into the fire.I have 0 idea who these coaches are, and its not how business is done in the B1G, but why do colleges never try to get some of these super HS/prep school coaches to take over? I dont know who runs Minnehaha Academy but he seems to be doing ok! or the person who is the coach at Monteverde or Oak Hill of IMG one of these places. Its the same thing, they recruit kids and play a national schedule. The one case I can think of this is the coach from i want to say Bishop Gorman in Vegas went from there directly to the coach for UNLV in football. That didnt work as he got fired after 4 years but i mean as much as its kind of a joke, is it really though? Our current coach was a touch over 500 in his 1 year of college coaching. I am willing to bet that Monteverde with Simmons/Russell/etc could have beaten that team. Again I have 0 idea who the coach is at Minnehaha, but if Chet/Miller's/Aligbe love him and came to the U could it be that bad? Heck if we had Chet starting and Master P in the front row we would at least get a ton of national exposure! Obvoiusly this wont happen and I understand the concept why, I do think its a semi interesting option though.
