For those that have spent time in Charlotte, where should you stay and is that close to stadium?

This match-up bores me to no end. That being said, it is a decent destination and we might find ourselves in Charlotte for the game.

I doubt VT fans are doing cartwheels. Whelming teams play whelming teams in meaningless bowls.

I'm glad the game is on a Friday, rather than them being in the middle of the week like the last few games played. It's different when they've been on New Year's Day like in 2014 and 2019.

But for 2015, 2016, 2018, 2021, 2022 and 2023, the bowls were on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, usually with work the next day. It will nice for the next day to be a Saturday for a change.

Decent bowl. Fun opponent. Probably the second best bowl match up of PJ’s tenure. Works for me considering several alternatives.

in 2019, Jerry Kill was an assistant to the Head Coach at Va Tech.

but then again, Jerry has been so many places that you could do a "six degrees of separation" game ala Kevin Bacon.

Duckworth's in Uptown is a good place for BBQ. I've been there a couple of times. And for the eligible guys, you just might meet an Uptown girl there.

My entire family (Mrs. Billd, Kiddo, and oldest) put brown sugar on their grits. Yuck. Butter, salt, and pepper are the proper additions to a bowl of grits.

The Gophers are going to get crushed. Seeing the teams being thrown around this morning, Virgina Tech was the team that scared me the most and that’s the way the chips fell.

Hence, Virginia Tech will be able to enjoy chips with their sandwiches and mayo happily, unlike Minnesota.

Virginia Tech by at least three scores. Something like 44-10. Our bowl winning streak is over.

Personally, I prefer Miracle Whip, but since they don't sponsor a Bowl Game, I guess I'll have to be happy with Mayo.

Not only that, but Charlotte is more hospitable, weather-wise, than NYC, and the Gophers are playing an opponent they are on par with.
