Not happening. He drops every bounce pass, if there is any man within 3 feet of him in the post he gets rejected, he's a terrible rebounder, etc.
Osenieks at least does a few things right!

Shows how far this program has to go to play the style that Pitino wants to play. A lot of nights like this during the season coming. It is what it is at this point.
 


This an abomination. Just pure awful. We should have just stayed home. Should we become a division two team? Could we even beat Mankato State?
 

Honestly Arkansas is playing our system WAY better than we are...their press and half court trap is perfect...ours is garbage.

When watching film of what we want to do on defense moving forward lets watch this game and take note of how Arkansas plays.
 

These are NOT the type players that are ideal for this system. Give it time...there will be some days when we look pretty dang good.

This is like watching a high school JV team trying to pass the pall.
 

Extremely disappointed in our veteran backcourt. Same ****ing play against the zone every trip.

I'm no Ahanmisi fan, but why no Mav either yesterday or today? He's a senior...should have some mental toughness and Smith's basketball IQ is nothing to write home about.

You are probably right but sadly this isn't an 82 game NBA season...in college basketball you have to win games like these if you want to make it to the big dance. Every game means that much more.

Should we cancel the rest of the season? Reading some of the comments.....maybe we should let this play out a little bit.

Gotta get the big dance out of your mind. I worry about whether we will qualify for the NIT. We didn't even make that a few years back, but that team was still better than this one.

This team isn't going to win enough conference games to be even considered for the tourney. If this game is a loss isn't going to matter in March.

So far, it seems to me only Malik gets how this system works. I think the Hollins seem real hesitant.

Thats what I was thinking too. One bad half this year and all hell breaks loose on here
 


King isn't even able to set a good screen right now... I mean, common.
 

And right on cue, he gives up an and-1 on terrible defense. Where's Oto or Mo?
 

Pretty obvious this team has a LONG way to go. Defense has been putrid and to be honest, Arkansas has so many more athletes than we do it isn't even funny.

The biggest area for concern is once the step up in class the difference in athletes has been clearly evident.
 

Yeah we knew this wasn't going to be a year we were going to be dancing anyway. Let's chill out.
 

There seems to be a schism between the old, tubby guys from yesteryear and the new Pitino guys. No cohesion. It doesn't look good, as someone said, Hollins' look hesitant, when last year they were the leaders. Team is still looking for it's leader, and it looks like Malik Smith is doing his best.

The system is part of the problem, you're right. But the system has nothing to do with effort. Even the announcers said Arkansas is getting 80% of the 50/50 loose balls. The system isn't why some of our shooters can't even hit the rim when they are wide open.

The effort just sucks ass and that is why I'm ticked off.
 


This season isn't over, not by a long shot. But this team has a long way to go. Lots of bad decision making, front court play, and lack of execution for this system. It's clear we cannot out run a team that has been running for a little while. We simply don't have the horses in Pitino's system yet to run with the boys who can run.
